Paul and Marilyn Hueper, owners of Homer Inn & Spa, woke with a start at 9 a.m. April 28 when a dozen armed FBI agents kicked down their front door in an investigation associated with Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s stolen laptop, which was taken during the Jan. 6 siege of the nation’s Capitol.

Ultimately, the couple was handcuffed and interrogated for the better part of three hours before being released. In the end, it was a case of mistaken identity.

The Huepers were in D.C. for the rally with President Trump, but they never came close to entering the Capitol, and certainly never took Pelosi’s laptop.

It appears the FBI were most interested in Marilyn. They had a photo of a woman wearing the same coat as her, and with a similar hairstyle. The photo was taken from Capitol building cameras, according to Marilyn, but beyond the hair and coat, there is little similarity between Marilyn and the woman photographed inside the Capitol...

...Paul said he repeatedly asked to see a search warrant but was denied until two and a half hours had gone by. During that time, he was separated from his wife.

“We sat there really for the first hour, not knowing what’s going on,” Paul told the Bird’s Eye View. “They never offered for us to be comfortable,” he added, “It was very harshly done.”

Paul said the agents ransacked the house and left a huge hole in his front door, which they offered to replace.

was the probable cause for a guns drawn government raid? Let's hope that President Biden personal apologizes to them and they get a huge settlement from the Biden DOJ.

 

Good for them. That's the only way I'd go in.

 

Sucks living in a police state, doesn't it? I'm not going to cry too hard over a couple of middle+ class conservatives suddenly finding out how lower-income folks are treated. Plenty of people like myself have been complaining about this kind of behavior from law enforcement for decades. At least the FBI offered to replace the door. Most people who have this happen to them have to sue for any damage that was done, and they are almost never made whole.

They absolutely deserve an apology and restitution for the damage. I wish that was the policy for all mistaken raids like this.

 

So they kicked down their door, drew their guns on them, screamed and yelled then handcuffed and interrogated for hours because she looked like someone else .....so they really did not ID her properly either.

Is this because of 9/11 laws brought in by George Bush...that your law enforcement have now turned into a terror organisation, terrorising citizens

 

Typical of the overbearing and oppressive big government Jack booted thugs when ever democrats are in charge.

 

I just hope they find the right people and give them the same treatment. Terrorists and thieves deserve no better.

Obviously that saved this couple's lives, but how did the FBI botch this, given its surveillance as well as photo identification ability? Are we really to believe they got this wrong, or was this intimidation for intimidation's sake?

It's Biden's DOJ now, and well we can give Biden the same treatment that Trump got: Always assume the worst, never the best.

 

They are not black so nothing to see here.

If Trump were President and his DOJ raided the home of someone alleged to have been on the other sides insurrections what would you have thought?

 

I’m against insurrection by either side, so I’d think it sucks it was the wrong people. Pay them for the damage and find the right house

 

I don't think this has diddly squat to do with Biden. Police make mistakes, I think we agree on that by now.

 

I'd like to see her photo without the mask. Obviously the Feds were acting on info from someone who knew her in Anchorage and knew she was in DC and thought she looked like the thief. I'm surprised Anchorage has that many Feds.

Simple.
She doesn't so I'm inclined to declare shenanigans. Still, if she had no previous record kicking in her door or anybody's door for that matter is rather extreme. If she had a previous record involving guns I could see it but if not they went overboard. But then Alaska has a small black population so they don't get the chance to act like terrorists very often.
