So it comes from tax payers. How much does it cost to take the money from the tax payer, move it through the government and then get it back to the tax payer?

How would a net loss in income have an effect on abortion numbers?

No..... it comes from the Bank of Canada.....
because Banks create money.......(Ok... well above ninety percent of all money in the Canadian money supply anyway)!

Then it goes to taxpayers... .who can then pay down their debts if they choose..... including the rather oppressive taxation levels here in Canada that cause so much to be free of charge.

These rates would be a major improvement over how things are at this time:

I haven't done that . Yes , you are protesting that women are human, and humans make mistakes....you seem to think that women have NO RIGHT to make mistakes..which is just plain weird..

So.... could you admit that this may be one of the best possible plans to attempt to reduce the incidence of abortions that you have read so far on this forum?

I don't need a 44 minute video to tell me there banks get money. They get it from you. UBI is a net loss.

No..... they don't get it from me..... they simply create it out of electrons on a computer database. Most of it anyway... the Bank of Canada is still involved in the two percent or so of the money supply of Canada that is in currency notes and minted coins.

A two minute video on this:

Here is the advantage of using the Bank of Canada.... that is owned by all Canadians........ money can be put into the Canadian economy virtually free of charge to Canadian taxpayers:

Creating money results in inflation (Considered the cruelest of taxes) and you still have to pay taxes. The end result of UBI is a net loss.

Not in the way that I am proposing it......
    all citizens and legal residents.....
the same amount of money to all of them...... 500 / person / month!

Some Canadians are in about a fifty percent income tax bracket so they will lose a lot of it..... but many Canadians pay no income tax at all and will be able to keep the vast majority of it.

The only person who could possibly think that they are losing is a multi billionaire who owns a horrible company like Monsanto.... and they worry that in a more optimistic economic environment very few skilled workers would want to work for their terrible company.

Finland only gave it to the very poor and unemployed..... and it didn't accomplish what they had been hoping it would.

Something like this is necessary at a time like this when compound interest owing on government, business, industry and personal debt has grown to levels that some bright people are talking about a ONE HUNDRED TRILLION DOLLAR MELTDOWN of the DERIVATIVES market........ .which can affect other markets as well. This is the best idea that I can come up with to prevent that from happening.

I do have some other suggestions as well:

You can propose it any way you want. It is not possible to create money without diluting what has already been created. Combined with the cost of moving all that money around, it can only end up a net loss. I appreciate the creative thinking that went into this and hope it moves forward so we can have another example and results we can discuss.

Thank you for the encouraging comment......
I do have a hint for you to perhaps assist you to begin to organize a movement in that direction.........

I try my best to look at situations from a generally positive angle... and try to think the best of people.... as opposed to getting myself really angry and kind of paranoid.

Thomas Robert Malthus...... was not a stupid person.......
his ideas were twisted toward evil somewhat like the ideas of Einstein resulted in nuclear weapons but...... the man was definitely not an idiot and here is one possible rather positive spin on what Prime Minister Pierre E. Trudeau may have been up to back in 1974???

Did P. M. Pierre Elliott Trudeau save the world environment?

For the record... I was INCORRECT about 1974 being the time that the Canadian dollar was taken off the gold standard..... that had actually been done in the 1930's if I remember correctly now!

The fact is.... by slowing down the economy of Canada........ and by setting the stage for the slowing down of the economy of the USA..... P. M. Pierre E. Trudeau may actually have put you and I into a different version of applied Multiverse Theory.... very different than what Helen Wambach Ph. D. and Dr. Chet Snow discovered in their fascinating research that they did..........

I do a somewhat humorous take on some possible implications of what they found out here............

In alternate time line Mr. Gore wins the 2000 election but negates Global Dimming....

I have an extremely positive outlook and feel that we would be better off if the government took less. It is not possible for them to give without taking. UBI is a fun idea, but no has figured out a way to break even.

Big Green Checks could solve most problems far better than our failed Big Bad Government programs.
And we would save a bundle at the same time.

Ddyad..... Doofenshmirtz am I way off to think that an UNCONDITIONAL INCOME SUPPLEMENT of five hundred dollars per Canadian per month should soon make it possible for tens of thousands....... if not hundreds of thousands of Canadians to break out from dependence on the Canadian welfare system?

I agree....... President Obama and his team spent an astonishing amount of money from 2009 - 2014..... and President Bush and his team from 2007 - 2009 spent billions as well propping up banks and other massive companies ....... but if ordinary Americans had been made better able to pay off their credit card debt and second mortgages....... far, far, far, far more could have been done with far fewer billions!

It is theoretically possible to finance this at essentially zero cost to taxpayers
through the Bank of Canada that is owned by all Canadians. Your situation in the USA is a little different due to the Federal Reserve being owned by a consortium of private banks but apparently the Fed has an agreement with the government that can make the application of this rather similar as can happen here in Canada.

From 1939 - 1974 the Bank of Canada was used to finance a large portion of the infrastructure projects in Canada. They loaned the money to the provinces and the provinces passed the loans on to the projects that they considered to be the most worthy but theoretically... the Bank of Canada can be used to do much more than merely that. The only costs that the Canadian taxpayer paid on this was the fees of the Bank of Canada which was basically just their office staff, rental of offices, insurances and various operational costs.

If the following post by dad2three is essentially correct.. .then this
can be done in the USA in essentially the same way that it could be done in Canada.

How would giving out welfare break dependence on welfare? It would be like breaking alcohol addiction by giving free booze!

As I recall under Obama $1T was appropriated for "shovel ready" infrastructure jobs. Does anyone know how many bridges were repaired with all that money?
