Then there is the issue of the light poles taken out by the wings of the plane that none of the truthers can explain.

Crap. I'm spending WAY TOO much time in the 9/11 sub forum. But it does get entertaining there from time to time.

One FBI Chief blowing the whistle trumps state media any day.
If there were physical evidence available to the public it would be known, but there's currently not.

Oswald was a patsy, that's why he was murdered before he could give a statement. Remember, it was Arlan Spector (the Defector) that came up with the "Magic bullet theory.

A retired military officer and firearms expert disputes the official conclusion of the Warren Commission, which stated that Oswald, as the lone gunman, fired three shots at President Kennedy. In a never before offered detailed ballistics analysis of the event the author explains that five shots were actually fired at the president, by three shooters in Dealey Plaza. Additionally, a detailed frame study of the Zapruder film, included in the work, indicates the crucial frames when the shots were taken by the shooters.

As a firearms expert with 35 years experience Mr. Martin states, with his strongest conviction, that those that were involved in the Warren Report were fully aware that they had failed to establish the facts of the president's assassination. In addition, he is utterly certain that they also knew that they had framed an innocent man.

Nah, there were also a few local policemen who have publicly stated that they were threatened with execution if they told the truth.

But who cares about a weak bombing like '93?

This is about the obvious cover-up that preempted the eternal war on terrorism and the shredding of our Bill of Rights.

Somehow, Dr. Righteous believes that a banking cabal is plotting to rule the world, but thinks that they care about 3,000 Americans.

    First off, a 757 can't fly 700 mph.

I see the debris. It doesn't account for a whole 757.

I don't have all the answers so don't set up straw men. I'm a common sense type that tends to believe my own eyes rather than gov't accounts.

I'll see your videos and raise you one.

More on the Kennedy head shot...

Head Shot by G. Paul Chambers is aptly titled because the author hones in on the fatal head shot and proves, through painstaking application of the laws of physics, that the bullet must have come from the right-front of Kennedy, specifically the Grassy Knoll. And Chambers is aptly qualified to make such an assessment, having a Ph.D. in Physics and Engineering and a career as an experimental physicist with the US Navy.

Chambers reviews the attempts to duplicate Oswald's alleged marksmanship. It has never been done. Most shooters could not get off 3 shots in 5.6 seconds – at all – never mind hit any targets. Finally, the WC produced a marksman who got the three shots off in 5 seconds, but he missed all his targets and some by a wide margin. Also, he was given unlimited time to set up the very first shot (a luxury Oswald did not have); he was given stationary not moving targets (again, a luxury Oswald did not have) and he was allowed to use metal shims to compensate for the inaccuracies in the telescopic sight (again, a luxury Oswald lacked). It was a grotesque fabrication – the sham of all shams.

Chambers reviews the eyewitness testimony, and you'd be surprised how many people identified the Grassy Knoll shooter by sight, sound, and the whir of a bullet flying overhead. We're talking about 50 people. Of course, the Warren Commission ignored all of their testimony. Chambers covers the allegations that Kennedy's body was altered, citing Lifton's work and others, and including relevant photos. In his coverage of the HSCA hearings, he focused mainly on the acoustical evidence which pointed to a grassy knoll shooter. The House Subcommittee concluded that there "probably" was a conspiracy, and they recommended that the Justice Department pursue it, which of course never happened.

    I cannot disagree.

Perhaps. But he did in fact pull the trigger on Kennedy.

Specter came up with the Single Bullet Theory. The "Magic" Bullet Theory is a derrogatory term that was attached to it by conspiracy theorists. It has been sufficiently debunked. It was very possible for that bullet to do what it did.

I'd be glad to dispute such claims in detail. Oswald was a marksman, it's been proven many times that he could have easily gotten off the three shots in time that he did. There is zero evidence of any gunmen anywhere else in Dealey Plaza. But if there were, they had silencers on their guns and missed Kennedy.

Anybody can claim they were threatened with "execution" for "telling the truth".

Because it has nothing to do with whether or not the government was directly involved in the 9/11 attacks.

I agree that 9/11 and any coverup was used as a justification for the war on Terror, shredding of the Bill of Rights, and never-ending expansion of the police state.

Because there is enough credible evidence, in my opinion, that it is the case that international bankers are attempting to establish a single world currency issued by the world bank, which would create a de facto world government. I see no evidence that these people or the government were directly involved in 9/11.

"What in the world does all that have to do with what is on the tape?" If you don't know, I know I'm wasting time so I won't bother pursuing this head-bang... Firefighters in on the government conspiracy probably did plant 757 wreckage all over the place... lol

Perhaps not in a horizontal direction independent of gravity...but a 757 going downward at full speed, with the help of the acceleration of gravity, could easily hit 700 mph.

So you admit that there is 757 debris at the crash site. How did it get there if it wasn't from a 757 crashing? Was it planted without any of the eye-witnesses noticing?

It's not a strawman, I'm making valid points. If you can't explain simple things like eye-witnesses seeing a 757 and where the victims of Flight 77 went, then your position is illogical.

Your internet videos are nothing but baseless speculation. I'm not going to waste my time watching them if you're not capable of defending your position from its simple logical fallacies.

You're claiming a 9/11 cover up by our government was possible, but you do not believe they did it. Those two beliefs don't really make sense as a unit. Why the hell would they cover it up if they didn't do it?

Even Specter called it the "Magic" bullet theory.

If you would take a look a the post before yours you would notice that a physicist also debunked the book depository as the source for the gunfire and he reviewed statements from about 50 witnesses that saw and heard the gunman on the grassy knoll and heard a bullet whizzing overhead. The Warren Commission ignored their statements.

The investigation into the shooting was lackadaisical at best...

If you were alive on Nov. 22, 1963, you remember, or have been told, where you were when President John F. Kennedy was killed.

Perhaps no one remembers better than Mary Moorman, who was just 15 feet from JFK’s motorcade when gunshots rang out. Ms. Moorman, then 31 years old, stood poised with her Polaroid camera as the presidential limousine passed by and captured the most famous image of that most infamous day: the president being shot.

Where exactly Ms. Moorman stood is a key piece of information that has been debated for nearly five decades. The answer has ramifications for a number of theories, including one that opines there are frames missing from the film shot by Abraham Zapruder.

Despite having a piece of critical evidence, Ms. Moorman was not interviewed by the Warren Commission.

This one always cracks me up.

Who says where the plane crashed was "precisely" the target? Who says he was trying not to scrape the ground?

All he had to do was steer the plane into a 5 story building. How (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hard is that?

As for the corkscrew maneuver that supposedly took so much skill . . . again, he wasn't concerned with a safe landing. He was trying to crash the (*)(*)(*)(*) plane.

Right in the budget analyst office where Rumsfeld had just announced...the pentagon was missing a lot of money.

The 9/11 folklore we will all tell our grandchildren when we are living under Sharia Law after the violent extremists conquer our nation.

Uh huh. Yeah I heard that one.

I also heard it was because Donald Rumsfield was on the other side of the building.

I'm sure it does. To dispel the misinformation that permeates the Internet with regards to the 9/11 attacks.

Is the information there incorrect? Can you refute their sources or the information they put forth? Do their conclusions seem illogical or improbable?

The bottom line is you don't know what really happened and neither do I. All that we can do is look at all of the available information and decide for ourselves which explanation is more logical.

If you choose to believe the theories that the truthers (not using that in a derogatory sense) put forth, then that is your decision.

Sometimes coincidences are just that -- coincidences. Truther theories seem to take coincidences and combine them with opinion and innuendo to arrive at their forgone conclusion -- which is something along the lines that practically EVERY cataclysmic event in US history was a false flag operation that the US government was behind in order to benefit (fill in the blank).

But they usually don't offer much in the way of evidence to back their theories up.

And evidence is what the OP asked for.

The Popular Mechanics cover story on the 9-11 myths a few years ago did an excellent job of addressing the conspiracy theories around the attacks in a good, clear article with experts consulted.

And The Texas Monthly about a decade ago did an excellent JFK assassination feature that looked at every major conspiracy theory and thoroughly debunked them all.

    There is the saying that

    "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".

9/11 Truthers and JFK Conspiracists are making extraordinary claims with effectively NO EVIDENCE.

Simply saying that "this looks too coincidental" or "this doesn't make sense" is not in itself evidence.

The biggest weakness I think in the world of conspiracies, is that the conspiracy believers always suggest that the evil doers (often the U.S. govt.) is such an incredibly powerful and universally competent that they can not only pull off such feats but basically get away cleanly.

    The thing is this:

If the people behind the conspiracy are that good, then they wouldn't need to pull off the stunts they are accused of anyway.

    Example 1:

The CIA and the U.S. military industrial complex assassinated JFK because he was going to reign in the CIA and pull the U.S. out of Vietnam.

    Bollocks!!!

If the CIA and U.S. MIC were powerful and competent enough to pull something like that off, then they certainly could've done something just as effective but far less risky.

JFK for example was highly susceptible to blackmail due to his sexual proclivities and could've been controlled that way.

    Example 2

The Bush Admin. was behind 9/11 because they wanted a reason to wage war against Afghanistan and Iraq.

    Bollocks!!!

The Bush Admin. was so competent that they pulled off 9/11 and got away scott free.........yet couldn't manage to smuggle a few dozen rounds of nerve gas warheads into Baghdad to keep from looking like idiots when the invasion of Iraq was over?

And just because some evidence was not presented due to national security concerns does not mean there was a conspiracy or that the truth has not effectively been revealed.
