I see that Mitt Romney couldn't wait to criticize President Trump.

Romney has a big ego with very small balls to back it up. He's been known as a girlie-guy who avoids confrontation, preferring instead to stab his opponents in the back.

When Romney was the governor of Massachusetts - he got along very well with both Democrat controlled houses of the legislature. He would never have been governor the second time if the Democrat rank and file had not given him the votes he needed to win as Republicans stayed home en masse

Mitt Romney is responsible for the budget busting Mass Health medical insurance for all which cost $8 billion in 2018 - 25% of the total state budget of $32 billion. In Massachusetts, the illegal aliens have better health insurance coverage for no cost to them while working citizens have to pay for coverage that isn't as good while their taxes pay for the free loaders and illegals.

    Thanks for nothing Mr Romney!

yep, Romney is going to be another raspberry seed in trump's wisdom tooth. Someone had to replace John McCain.

The problem with Romney is, he is contagious. His COURAGE, to stand against the HATE, and ugly fascist tendencies, requires REAL COURAGE.

And yet the left demonized Romney all of 2012.

I just really don't understand folks, like Romney. The public didn't like him. He failed, miserably, to mount a credible challenge to Obama. Why worry at all about his opinions then? HIs diatribe in the WAPO is a great example of why this guy doesn't actually represent change for republicans. He's a has been. He's yesterday's trash. The fact that he could buy an election in Utah isn't that big a stretch, and further isolates his national credibility. Something those on the left clearly criticized him for during the 12 election. Now, seems to be just further evidence of his sell out, and his inability to represent the fundamental change to over reach in government that we require.

He is STILL an out of touch elite. BUT, he does have a backbone, and a moral code. We took that for granted. We will NEVER make that mistake again.

I'm not sure that Romney has the guts to go toe to toe with a real man.

Romney is NOT a LIAR. He says what he means, and he stands by what he wants, and believes. He is REALITY BASED. All the trump supporters PREFER to lie to us, and lie to themselves. And in so making all things not liked, FAKE, have made themselves into TOOLS.

Are you sure? Somehow I can recall a few famous "reversals" of mr Romney's... HIs kind of republicanism we can't afford anymore. When he's just as willing to grow over reaching national fascism as the next democrat, he's not affordable any more.

Bahahaha, yes you will. And Romney doesn't have a backbone, he took Trumps endorsement just 5 months ago and now he's stabbing Trump in the back.

No, but if you went from denouncing him in 2016, to accepting his endorsement in 2018, then denouncing him again in 2019, it shows how little of a backbone you have since he didn't have it to tell Trump to take the endorsement and shove it. And Trump hasn't changed since 2016, he is still rude a brash as ever and Romney still took that endorsement from the guy he loathes now.

WHO CARES, them dirty Immgents are costing UMPTEEN BILLIONS, trust me, so ANY COST, is a savings. And Trump is a builder, so WE can trust him, a WORKING MAN.

Speaking of without backbone, your response is weak. You want rigid agreement to all Trump PRONOUNCEMENTS. By Twitter and such. And when he says X, one day, and Y the other, you DONT question any of it.

    Putin does though.

I've never had strong feelings about Romney, either way. That said, any elected official who is willing to stray from the talking points memo and be his/her own person, shows signs of a backbone. Hyper partisans are the worst sort of people to put into leadership roles, because they cannot think for themselves.

In fact, I agree. Romney wasn't impressive in 2012 (especially his choice of running mate) and he showed who he truly was when he went crawling to Trump for a job after the inauguration. So anything he says now matters little - at least to me. I suppose the kudos is being applied because someone on the right is willing to say something against Trump. But too little, too late for me.

I hope you mean "you" in the general sense because I have been constant in my stance against the wall, against Trump when he said "confiscate the guns then go through due process", his ban on bump stocks. I never claimed Trump has a backbone, this is about Romney, a very weak republican.

So did Romney have a back bone when he accepted Trumps endorsement 5 months ago?

If this was meant as some sort of dig, it failed miserably. I have no strong feelings about Romney, either way.
