Romney called himself a "severely conservative republican governor."

Has anyone ever used the word "severely" in describing themselves? I suspect Romney had some issues with his conservatism and is likely why he lost the 2012 election.

He couldn't properly verbalize his beliefs. Or maybe they weren't his beliefs after all.

He isn’t a conservative either except for protecting global corporations at the expense of American workers. That is something Trump is not doing which is fine by me

The RINOs of Trumpery are very pissy about Willard, as a traditional Republican, not kowtowing to their messiah, but his assessment of Lyin' Don has been consistent whereas others have wimped out and groveled. He is fulfilling the wishes of his conservative Utah constituency that he challenge Trump's moral depravity..

Trump's policies will hurt the American worker, and he doesn't care about the American worker.

I believe that Romney is whatever he says he is. I also believe that he is "severely" pragmatic.

What matters is whether Romney is a team player in the senate. Or will he go the way of Flake and Corker in 2018. They resigned before they were primaried out of office.

I think that if Trump doesn't go off the rails, Romney will support. However, if Trump acts in an unrealistic manner, then no.

I suggest that you avoid the lying liberal media FIRST.

Being team players is why we are in the mess we are in. Partisans are destroying the country.

Agreed. And it began when dems won the House, Senate and presidency in 2008, then forced Obamacare on the PEOPLE without one vote from (R)s. They lost the HOUSE in 2010.

Then dems lost the senate in 2014, and then the presidency in 2016, and NEVER looked back at WHY they lost all those elections. But now the American PEOPLE are going to be reminded AGAIN of why they voted dems out of office in the first place when nothing gets done as they try to destroy Trump.

The majority middle elects presidents & congress creatures, not partisans. The country swings back and forth, and back again. The majority don't want either shitty party to have too much control for too long a period of time. The middle also doesn't want one party to have full control, which is why if one party gets full control, they almost always lose it in the first midterm.

You sound like you disagree with me, but we are in agreement.

HOUSE Republicans were voted into office by BOTH republican voters AND independent voters between 2010 and 2017. We all know that. But every time dems win an election, they think they have a MANDATE to bully the American PEOPLE. That is WHY they will destroy themselves.

When they lie, I promise that I will avoid. When they hold Trump accountable or show video of him making false or ridiculous statements, then I will embrace the media. Of course, you will do the same with the lying right-wing media, yes? Thanks for sharing.

I read everything using critical thinking skills honed over a period of 40+ years when I first had a critical thinking class in junior high school. But the majority of people no longer trust "traditional" media sources and for GOOD REASON!

Poll: 72 percent say traditional outlets 'report news they know to be fake, false, or purposely misleading'

Again, when the media shows videos of Trump making false or misleading statements it doesn't matter whether it is media or not.
I am 35 years in business after graduating from college and there is not much that I haven't seen or heard relative to politicians and the public for that matter. I have known many cons during my working years and am not easily fooled.

Then you should pay attention to actions and not just words. The problem with the left is they think words ARE action.

Words matter and are followed by actions. Actions matter and usually expose the con.
