The white population is 33.3% of the New York City population and they are more likely commit a crime that is less serious than a felony such as misdemeanor criminal mischief (19.9%).

 

What is the point of posting crime stats? Do you have a solution?

 

Where are you more likely to have an interaction woth police that could lead to a fase arrest? Or an arrest at all? In an area with high crime or an area with low crime? Where are the cops a larger force percapita? The numbers tell are a reslut of whats going on, but they dont speak to the cause.

 

You left out drug related arrests. They quite clearly show the obscene institutional racism in this country.

Interesting that Asians in New York City in recent years have had a higher poverty rate than Blacks, but it sure hasn't seemed to impact their crime rates, nor their high school graduation rates.

I don't think it's so much the poverty causes issues part that bothers me, even if it's not entirely true. There are plenty of areas with high poverty and a low crime rate. Poverty is a problem in general. It the notion that the poverty is caused by racism, that really gets under my skin.

 

3/4th of Black Americans are not in poverty, so obviously those Blacks who are lower middle class, middle class, and higher are doing some thing different than those 1/4th of Blacks who are in poverty.

Yes I was. Destitute black southerners went to places like NYC to get away from oppression, only to find a different kind of less public oppression. And this continues to this day. And it certainly was rampant as recently as the decade of the 70’s when Trump joined the racist oppressors by essentially forcing blacks into urban ghettos.

 

Interesting that most of these come from Prince George's County Maryland, which as a collective absolutely has a high murder rate, despite being a high income Black dominated county.

Most Asian Indian Americans arrived since the 1970's, and they've become the #1 wealthiest group in the U.S.A today, just proves one can build up a lot of wealth since the 1970's, even when dark skinned.

 

What about them? My contention was that it could be an environmental issue seeing that there are places where blacks are 80% of the population, yet the overall crime rate is lower than the national average. Who knows, maybe it's the dense population of people crammned into big nasty projects that increase crime. People need space, opportunity, and resources and high crime areas don't have these.

 

Or it could be that there's genes which influence both crimninality, and intelligence.

Criminals have a smaller frontal lobe, and so do stupid people.
