it shouldn't have to be explained to you that the investigation wasn't into a political rival but an american politician who's dealings in Ukraine look really stinky.

for it to be abuse of power you have to prove that his request is directly related to winning the 2020 election.. it's that simple.
as i have said before if they can prove that's what he did then impeach him. if they can't well then go pound sand. they have provided no evidence that he did anything impeachable.

 

If this request was purely in the interest of america why was his personal lawyer involved? Was there a DOJ investigstion?

That’s pretty much what took place. He didn’t make the aid conditional on finding anything. He made it conditional on Ukraine’s president personally and publicly announcing an investigation into the Bidens.
Using his office to get a foreign government to help with his re election.

 

And if he had you would be defending it.

If there is any evidence of corruption by the Bidens in Ukraine, THE DOJ CAN AND SHOULD INVESTIGATE. It would be a crime under US law.
Trump did NOT ask them to investigate or reduce corruption generally.
Trump did NOT name anyone other than his main political rival.

he asked them to start an investigation about one family only. That is 100% about 2020. No other way to look at it.

 

Because the evidence isn’t being provided by democrats. Sondland was a trump appointment. Pompeo sent Taylor to Ukraine. No idea of the Army Rangers party. We still haven’t heard from Bolton....definitely not a democrat.
