It is truly sad that some people bash Biden for a slight (if stupid) comment and ignore a President who regularly says stupid and ignorant things while lying every day.

 

It is mostly all one side on television day after day, night after night not criticizing policy or proposals with any kind of intellectual honesty but rather trashing the President and Republican leaders in unspeakably dishonest terms and for unconscionably dishonestly characterized offenses. It is mostly all one side that is driving people out of restaurants and theaters and going to their homes to threaten them. It is mostly all one side encouraging their people to get in the faces of Republicans and conservatives whereever they go and make their lives miserable. It is mostly all one side that refusies any forum to anybody who isn't them, banning people from college campuses, who refuse to give them the security that any decent person is entitled to. It is mostly all one side shouting out, shaming, assaulting people going to a rally that doesn't involve one of their own. It is mostly all one side that is rioting, blocking traffic, committing arson, committing assault and battery, vandalizing and destroying property. It is mostly all one side censoring conservative thought and speech on social media. It is most all one side marching in the streets chanting "Pigs in a blanket, fry like bacon" and assaulting police officers. It is mostly all one side that makes wild and dishonest accusations of people without a shred of evidence.

While there are legitimate offenses to accuse both sides, to blame one side equally with the other just doesn't compute and is thoroughly intellectually dishonest.

He wasn't always that way, but lovable, gaffing, sweet Uncle Joe is now one of the worst offenders.

 

I tend to agree with this assessment ---- and I'm an Independent, so I don't even have a dog in this fight.

 

You seem to feel that my post was in support of Russia, despite the words being clearly visible and easily understood.

The Russia Hoax, as you may soon learn if interested, was a claim made by what's often called "The Deep State", that the Trump campaign was colluding with Russia - and the basis of these claims was based on the findings of a fake 'dossier'. It had nothing to do with whether Russia was 'evil' or not.

 

If you look thru past forum threads, you'll see plenty of them devoted to some stupid thing or another that Trump said. We've even had a poster name himself AFTER one of them.

We bash everyone here. Is Biden somehow immune? Basically, what the LW mocks in Trump, you would see plus more if Biden is elected.

I admit Trump says some pretty stupid stuff. I'll certainly laugh at what Biden does - which is a lot more than just "a" comment.

 

And there is now less talk of Trump 'obstructing justice'. They change their accusations by the week.

 

Yes, the internet has made it easy to discover the gaffes people in pubic life have made but doubt they make a difference when people vote. Trump's policies are simply better for the country than any Democrat's, and that includes Joe Biden.

 

Well - Cortez is neither She is long on rhetoric and short on having a clue what she is talking about.

Case in point. The New Green Deal - states that we will not transfer our pollution to other nations.

We currently have horrible pollution issues happening around the Globe. Pollution of the Oceans is hands down the #1 environmental issue. 2/3 are population growth and industrialization of the 6 Billion souls that are not. Somewhere further down the list comes CO2. This is not debated in serious circles.

We can spout platitudes such as "we need to get rid of fossil fuels" all we like. This will not change the fact that next year we will use 20 million barrels of oil a day - every day - over the next year.

The question is then how to do this while minimizing pollution - and not transferring our pollution issues to other nations. Roughly 46% of oil coming into US refineries comes from 70 different nations. Some of these are big polluters - such as Nigeria .. some of these are not ... such as Canada.

I then turn on the TV to see Cortez tying to block the Keystone Pipeline - which comes from Canada. Not does not dump heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants into the oceans - Like Nigeria - a Pipeline is far more enviro friendly than a crude oil tanker.

So if we don't get this oil from Canada - that means we must get it from somewhere else - like more from high pollution nations. This is then doing exactly the opposite of what is claimed in the NGD - transferring (unnecessarily so) our pollution problems to other nations.

In addition (and this is not going to be PC but .. it is what it is) - buying from third world nations encourages industrialization.

So then .. not only is Cortez a complete idiot with respect to the facts in relation to the Keystone - what she is doing is immoral as 1) creating more pollution than is necessary and 2) transfers our pollution to other nations.

 

I know damn well what one of the many definitions of the "hoax" was. My point is that members of Trump's campaign ( Manafort campaign manager) had an connection with the Russians which he should not had had. Trump son and Sonny in law had meeting(s) with Russians ( which the Trump gang at first denied) and they lied about what the meeting was about. Trumpettes claimed that the meeting was about adopting poor little Russian orphans. I know that was BS, most every honest American should know that was BS, and you if you are an American should also admitted that the orphan story was BS. There was no Fake" dossier. There was a dossier that was put together by a retired British intelligence officer which was to be used as background material. Trumpettes are too lazy to try and dispute the dossier so instead they call it "Fake". With so much stuff being called by the Trump 's people the Trumpettes are like the boy who cried wolf e.g. Not believable.

Russia bring an enemy country and not a friend should have been avoided. When our POTUS takes the word of an evil enemy, Putin, over our own Intel services that is the closest thing to traitorism that tuete can be.

 

I'm going to take the word of Mueller and Barr over any nutty conspiracy theories. There was NO RUSSIAN COLLUSION. For the love of God, I think even the mainstream media finally admitted this and moved on. The Russian collusion delusion is as dead as Epstein. I know exactly what Trump said in Helsinki. I watched and listened to thatventire "traitorous" speech. Trump did trash our intelligence agencies by saying that Putin denies Russia's involvement hunch was a direct bash at the professionalism and patriotism of our intel agencies. Of course Putin denied it. What did you expect that KGB scum turd to say!

What Trump should have said was that he and Putin did not agree on the Russian involvement and leave it at that. You do not trash your own Intel agencies especially in public like that and mist especially since we know Putin lies that is what fascist dictators do.

I have stated all along here on this forum the mere fact that Russian attempted to interfere in our elections is bad enough. I never said that Russia was highly or even moderately successful and it does not matter. What matters is an enemy state has made that attempt.

The fact that Mueller reported that Russia attempted to inference and are still interfering and will obviously continue to should be enough for any patriotic American who claims to love his country to demand that our government counter the actions of Russia. Trump had attempted to lift certain sanctions but Congress stopped so do not twist the truth and try to make Trump out as someone who stands by the objective of America first because the facts show that is not the reality, not the truth.

The truth is that Trump is for Trump first, for his ego first, for his businesses first and that he would sell our country out if he got a better offer.

I listened to the same speech in its entirety and just don't see it as you do. Russia has always interferred in our elections as has China as have any number of other countriesl This is nothing new. The Mueller investigaton concluded there was zero evidence - NO EVIDENCE - that Presidet Trump nor any other American had anything to do with that. He didnt bother to investigate the collusion that we know happened with the Hillary campaign.

Hopefully Horowtz and/or Durham are bothering to investigate that.
