Ex-President Jimmy Carter Defends Trump, Says Mueller’s Time is Up

Carter is all about diplomacy. It doesn't suprise me that he prefers talks to war and would applaud Trump accepting an invitation to meet. North Korea hasn't responded yet, so maybe that invitation wasn't quite the way it was reported. Wonder what Carter thinks about John Bolton, who advocates war in both North Korea and Iran, being appointed National Security Advisor?

 

That is where he GOTCHA. He has regaled us with the FACTS before, when goaded with that. He got mounds accomplished, and flew under the radar. HE took the insult of ineffectual, and ran with it.

It is TRUE though, that he TRIED to get GOBS moar done than he got thru.


AND IN PARTICULAR, Carter's AUSTERITY, what with his admonition to put on a sweater, which he was hated for, created the conditions for the REAGAN miracle. So called.

One faction of one dysfunctional committee said that. Other committees are still investigating, plus Mueller.

 

The left, I will probably die before this country comes back together. To much hate. Carter makes a nice comment and it's "No no no, he didn't say nothing nice, No no no.

The division has been a long time coming to get to this point, so reversing it may take a while too. There are people that hate, and then there are people that are called haters because they disagree with an opinion. You see me as a hater, when I told you I don't hate Trump. If there is too much hate, in your opinion, maybe you're seeing haters where there isn't hate, but a different opinion.

America is a great country, partly because of the freedom to express ourselves regardless of our diversity. When we look at more than one side of an issue we address it more completely, and that is how our government is designed to work. We're supposed to find compromise, and our government is so dysfunctional because they will not seek compromise.

 

To pilfer a line from the great movie "Wall Street", "Gridlock is good". The less government meddling gets involved in our daily lives, the more smoothly and efficiently things go. Discourse is good. Our founding fathers realized this when they set up our Constitution.

 

That is a STUPID concept. BAD gov should be stopped, not all.

The key word in Carter's statement is the word "IF". IF there's no evidence that Trump colluded with 'the Russians' then the investigation should announce that and go home. But, IF there's evidence that Trump broke any laws, then he should be tried and impeached if found guilty.

Many on the Left think that we on the Right would support Donald Trump even if he broke the law. That is absolutely NOT so. But, with equal sincerity we do NOT want to see this thing drag out forever with no credible results, based purely on the processes of a "witch hunt".

Best guess? Mueller will drag this out until close to the November elections, and then come out with something that falls short of being "criminal", but which dumps tons of slander, rumor, and other unsubstantiated, peripheral 'dirt' on Trump and any other Republican they can.... After all, if the real motive is to do anything under the sun to aid a Democrat takeover of Congress before year's end, then everything is moving right on schedule!

 

Yep! And Mueller's team of witch hunters were all Clinton supporters. Non partisan committee?

 

He made a few comments that wasn't the daily typical nasty hate filled disgust that the Left has for Trump (Stormy Daniels example) and I post the positive remarks and right away the Left here get triggered. I understand you don't agree, I just wish before I croak if a leftie says something nice another leftie will recognize that Carter said something that was not mean.

About time for another multi year investigation of Hillary,,,again.....

Proving either that wisdom has finally come with age for Carter, or that even stopped clock can be right.

 

This is a cash cow for him but I also think that it is an open ended fishing expedition. I think they'd love to find something, anything. Heck, Scooter Libby was convicted to go to prison where there was no underlying law breaking!
