Back in 1850 citizens were more skeptical of government misbehavior than they are today. Juries nullified the egregious FSA in those days.

Yes, finally this is a long overdue display of jury nullification. The conscience of the community was expressed by that jury.

 

That may be so, but the larger point IMO is that the court in the Hobbs decision basically just attempted to pacify the religious right. The repeal of Roe has been an ongoing effort by the religious right for decades.

I agree that technically Roe was flawed, but politically a woman has a right to do as she pleases with her body, same as men. So with Hobbs the court urinated on the spirit of individual autonomy and the Ninth.

 

Jury nullification? Seriously? You really think that Houck should have been charged? It looks like a non-guilty verdict based on evidence. The little clip of video that was shown CLEARLY shows the escort guy approaching Houck, not the other way around and is also CLEARLY shows Houck well away from the clinic entrance. There never should have been any charges to begin with.

 

Some people actually look on children as valuable blessings.

 

Having spent a few years on the internet my understanding of the reproductive process has changed and I now understand that, since God doesn't exist, the whole process of human reproduction is a product of the cisgender male patriarchy obsession with keeping biological females from achieving success in society. The only way for biological females to escape that oppression is to abort the tumors created by cisgender male domination rituals and/or select a gender other than female thus protecting them from enslavement at the hands of religious zealots.
