No, I do not think he should have been charged, but he was charged whether you or I like it or not. The jury did its civic duty and rejected the malfeasance of DOJ. Bravo, the jury nullified, demonstrating its conscience. We need more.

FYI, this was jury nullification in action. Rejecting the over reach of government is EXACTLY what JN is all about.

OK. I see where you're coming from but that's not what "jury nullification" is. Jury nullification is when the jury comes back with a verdict that IGNORES the facts, not when they come back with a decision supported by the facts. For example, in the Darrell Brooks trial he asked the jury to ignore the facts and only take into account the negative impact that getting arrested had on him. If the jury did that while ignoring that he plowed down 60 people and came back with a "not guilty" verdict that would have been "jury nullification".

Jury Nullification covers a wide range of tactics to negate government malfeasance. It has a long history in the US, but the government attempted, fairly successfully, to stop it with the Sparf decision back in 1895.
