I love museums, so I guess I don't understand how a museum can (*)(*)(*)(*) people off no matter how controversial the exhibits.

I'd like to know your version of where astrology, calculus, and geometry originated from.

And what "palaces" where ancient blacks living in while whitey was in caves?

    Please, inform us.

No, I mean that free blacks, as a percentage, were more likely to own slaves than whites.

We have white only history museums everywhere. There's no fuss *shrug*. So I don't understand why this is an issue. Consider this:

There's an airplane museum in Dayton, Ohio. Pretty cool imho. Anyway, I've yet to hear anyone whine and moan about the lack of there being a train museum nearby. Some museums just have a specific focus. This is all too much ado about less than nothin'.

Since Michelle Obama, a descendent of slave owners, was at the opening I am sure they have a whole wing dedicated to slave owners.

I can't help but wonder... what would the reaction be to the country opening a "White People's Museum"?

Considering that nearly everything that ever made America the richest, most prosperous, powerful, and free country in the world was due primarily to the ingenuity, dedication, sacrifices, and energy of White people, it would be QUITE a museum.... Oooh... but that wouldn't be politically-correct and "cool", would it...? :spin:

Next museum should be to display the injustices done to Americans by blacks. We can show destroyed business, cop cars on fire and the brutal rapes of women.

You already have them. That is part of the problem, you want to discount what everyone else contributed to it and just take credit for yourself.

People who make significant contributions are honored in museums for their gifts to society and for posterity's sake. If upon reflection, one notices that a particular race such as your own is underrepresented. And if this bothers you. Then you best get to contributing something other than your skin color and complaints. Because honestly, no-one gives a sh*t about your color or jealous spine. So stop leaning on that tool and do something beneficial with it.

I'm sure you won't visit the museum and have your racist preconceived ideas upset....I see your view is that whites are supreme to blacks.

Yes, white people did have the upper hand, the better opportunities, the lack of prejudice to hold them back.....they weren't slaughtered legally for the color of their skin so they didn't have that holding them back. They had better schooling based on their skin color, they had schooling which people of color didn't have. They weren't lynched for no reason. Their children didn't have fire hoses and police dogs turned on them for simply wanting to go to school.

What's amazing are the blacks who had to overcome so much hate and prejudice like yours to accomplish what they did...much more was needed of sacrifices, dedication, energy and ingenuity than any white needed......some were killed for just speaking out...

Educated people ( who visit museums) know there are museums "dedicated" to whites (because they don't mention blacks...)

If you credit white people with everything good in America I hope you show an understanding of "personal responsibility" and credit them with everything that's wrong with America :)

Most of the museums are Eurocentric. Of course they are white museums. The African American museum is not a black-only museum. It is opened to the public. Some museums have a focus. African American history and culture is theirs.
