Democrats don't have any problem with foreign nationals violating our borders and victimizing our citizens. They aid and abet them and even go as far as providing them with assault weapons to use against our border patrol.

At what expense? And why does he have to go around Congress in order to do this? He had complete control of govt his first 2 years, it wasn't an emergency then. But now that he lost the House and can't get what he wants through Congress, he lies and tells everyone it's an emergency.

That **** ain't gonna fly. But ok, let's say the Supreme Court upholds his emergency and allows this to continue. Don't whine when a Dem POTUS declares a national emergency for health care or gun violence to get what he/she wants.

You voted for Gary Johnson. Libertarians believe that the government should only do those things outlined in the Constitution. Don't you think a fundamental duty of the government is to provide for the common defense? Don't you think that a fundamental duty of government is to protect its citizens?

Walter, Trump made a tactical error in those first two years. He was willing to set aside immigration security so that he could focus on tax reform and the ill-fated Obamacare issue. The tactical error was that he did not push hard enough on immigration, and I believe he did not foresee the Democrats taking control of the House in 2018. I think he was just putting it off to focus on those other things, thinking he would tackle immigration security next. It was a mistake.

That, and the fact of mealy mouthed weak Republicans - the exact type of Republicans that we voted against when we elected Trump.

Apples and oranges. No president can institute Medicare for All without the Congress. And no president may unilaterally declare that a constitutional amendment is null and void.

No, but we have to ask ourselves who should be enforcing that law, when it involves an official so high up like the President.

Not just any judge should get to do that.

 

Actually, it's Congress that sets the funding for DoD, and Trump is already ignoring that. If Trump ignores the ruling, this can be added to the articles of impeachment.
