The judge is overstepping their judicial authority. The judicial can’t say what is or isn’t a national emergency, that is within the purview of the executive branch. Further more can’t declare what money goes where, again that is the purview of the executive. This is a is a breach of the sep. of powers. And I would say it will be overturned quickly.

Its Congress that cuts the check, but its the executive that spends it.

If I were Trump I would ignore this ruling. What are they going to do? Tear it down. Kind of like painting you house and then the Homeowners Association says it wasn't approved first. Go for it Trump because you have done so many good things you promised despite the dysfunctional Congress.

I really question whether Congress can ever accomplish anything ever again.

I will say that if a Democrat is elected President, I moderate job-socialists will do everything we can to make his/her life miserable.

Do I actually have to argue this? Do you honestly think societies have infinite resources to devote to saving lives? Of course they don't. Trade-offs occur. We could flood the streets with highway patrol and pay them a million a year and have them work exclusively on drunk driving arrests. That would save lives. We don't do this. For obvious reasons. Just like we don't spend $20 billion on a border wall that might save an American's life.

Judges have been overstepping their bounds quite a bit lately. For instance district judges ruling nationwide injunctions that rule over every district in the country.

So in post # 80 you snark ... for the 2nd time ... about someone having "not read your thread" ... :;): Had I come across this thread earlier, I could have saved EVERYONE the trouble. This injunction only applies to the $1 bn in redirected Pentagon funds. Trump still has the remainder of the $1.7 bn allocated by congress. This new ruling won't impede construction at all, and while the allocated funds are being utilized this ruling will head towards appeal. AG Barr is sifting through the DOJ's pile of lower courts injunctions with nationwide stipulations. Trump inttends to get a permanent SCOTUS rulings that will limit lower court rulings, to lower court jurisdictions. Maybe he's just found it. ::):

The irony here is blinding. Congress has the power of the purse, not the President. Just like the judge ruled. The authoritarian leaning/activist President will have to obey the Constitution. Please don't encourage the President to break the law.

This is perfectly in the judge's bounds. The President has been overstepping his bounds quite a lately.

So whenever a judge rules against Trump's idiotic plots and keeps Trump in check, the judge is the bad guy?

    Interesting.

Let's recap again for those who missed it. Trump's attempt to piss on our Constitution was temporarily stopped yesterday with a bitch slap from a Federal Judge.

But I'm sure he will continue to ignore rule of law while his fans cheer him on.

The existence of the National border crisis has been denied by you and yours, and now been denied by your judge. Why yours? - I'm sure he's a Democrat.

All Yours to splain to the voters

Big hair sadness ... no thanks. But don't you stop believing that this lower courts ruling will be upheld by the SCOTUS. Even if this case isn't the one AG Barr decides to submit per his intention to restrict rulings from extending beyond courts jurisdictions, it will wind up being settled by the SCOTUS. The waves of caravans that are overwhelming CBP, DHS are without question are a demonstrable "emergency". The DNC /ACLU claims that because congress has ignored the "emergency" for 2 yrs. despite Trump's pleading, that it isn't an urgent issue. Ironic because (D)'s are sure upset about about DHS not being able to cope with the "emergency" and detanees dying as a result.

Gary Johnson was a republican before he was a libertarian. Of course having any idea wtf you're talking about is not a prerequisite for you to post, is it?

Everyone is a potential murderer. The funny thing is, if we could get rid of all illegals our murderer rate per capita would go up.

You can make this argument, I guess. I certainly disagree with it. However, what you can't do is ignore an issue for two years and then declare a national emergency when you fail to get your (idiotic) pet project through congress. That's not how our government works, even trumpers used to know this.
