The problem is that a lot of muslims don't do that choice and my hatred of islam isn't directly targetet toward muslims and by the way not you, but I doubt that a lot of muslims would take some distance of with their sacred text, even if they would be a big part of moderate, another part would be always and inherently violent .
You call that a 1000 year old arab book, but many muslims consider it's the direct word of gods, untemporal and always true. Many muslims consider that Muhammed is the best model who ever existed, when you consider the life of Muhammed, you can only be afraid of that.

The book is not written in modern English. It's in Arabic,.. and comes with a massive amount of a fixed interpretation by scholars. Something you so far have ignored. You just copy past a line. No, I read the verses before and after, I check in the quran because it's avalaible.
If you must have a ph.d to know if you shouldn't kill, maybe islam is not a good religion, because many cheikh have ph.d or high knowledge of islamic scriptures and still preach for jihad.

 

Women are told to cover their heads in church in New Testament too. But not in public like islam. Also Christians are not allowed to marry 6 yr. olds.

Actually true but a slave like a Concubine your free to beat up regularly as long as they don't die in a day or two, or lose an eye or tooth. Muslims just extend beating to wives and with no apparent restrictions other than when its the right time to do it.

 

Back to previous question... do you contest the origins of the Abrahamic religions is Sumerian / Babylonian religion?

The proves the book is far more prone to misuse than the Torah or Bible proper, and do all the scholars agree say those who are ISIL supporting or the more modern Western Imams or the various branches of the faith it seems without a clear simple system the average uneducated poor Muslim man will do what the local Imams teach and that could be pretty sickening unless your saying killing homosexuals, cutting the heads of unbelievers and other actions by say a Muslim government is fine. What about an extremist group they can use the same book to find permission for atrocities where the Sufi's find peaceful teachings seems pretty much up to a wide perspective of interpretations.
