When we have schools banning the national anthem, what kind of students are they churning out?

WE have schools in CA that honor the mexican holidays and praise the mexican flag. But they have a dim view of our flag.

A wall is not the answer as incursions will continue. I have met a lobbyist for the auto industry. I don't fear the lobbyist but I fear the amount of financial support that they may have the ability to give in support of their client, the NRA being an example. This is too expensive for the school boards to handle by themselves and I agree with your ideas, many of which are already in use. Some form
of gun control is necessary and I can't understand why the NRA opposes this for the good of our society. There comes a point when
the money has to take a back seat for the public good.

I suggested other ways to protect the national security. Such as flying over the border and shooting the intruders on sight.

I don't want to blame the NRA. I am aware of the good things the NRA does. They do not train killers. When have you heard of a NRA member shooting people down?

Never heard of a member doing harm with a gun. Unfortunately, a form of gun control will affect NRA members somewhat. Sometimes, as with government regulations, the good guy is affected along with those whose activities the regulation will quell.
I don't agree with shooting those who are trying to escape poverty. That is not an option. Trump is doing a great job at the border.
I understand that incursions have increased and I wouldn't put it past Trump to relax border security to get his wall.

Trump plans to increase border security. I vow that I am for human freedom. I do not like children killed. But I do not blame the gun. I do not even blame the NRA. Nor do I blame millions of gun owners. That is as if when Ford had the fuel tank problem leading to major changes, blaming all automakers for Ford's problem. Or when Corvair was blasted unfairly by Nader, blaming all car makers for all cars.

I like to focus blame where it belongs. Not on the innocent party.

Why are mass shootings more important than people being murdered individually, such as in Black neighborhoods?

Whoever composed this graph says more about their politics than their interest in victims of violent crimes. Perhaps this is part of the Russian propaganda campaign we've been hearing so much about.

I don't think the OP factored that in when posting the graph.

I am trying to figure out how any of these attacks had anything to do with Trump or Obama. People will of course blame whoever is president for the sun coming up in the morning.

Funny how we have one right wing EPIC FAIL thread after another on this forum recently.

These right wingers are so laughably pathetic but they fail to see their faults - how laughable can they get????

But it shows how forum right wingers are so emotional and lacking in rational thinking. We patriots have said that often enough on this forum but they continue to post thread after thread which prove their limitations.

    "America was founded upon genocide."

That is correct. When Jefferson sent Lewis and Clark on expedition he was hoping that with trinket presents, spectacles of advanced technology, and speeches that the Indians would just roll themselves right in immediately under the Great White Father (as Jefferson was called by Lewis) and learn the ways of the white man.

But as horses' tails then mackerel scales filled the sky a hard rain was gonna fall, the Indians fought, and the white man took it all.

Sad song that's all I know; sad song that's all the world can ever know.

I don't think the US as a whole was engaged in genocide. They were trying to take land from the native tribes (who did the same thing to other tribes incidentally) not kill the tribes per se. Disease and economic disruption was the key killer although of course the US contributed to both.

3,613,732 motor vehicle fatalities in the United States since the car went on the road.

Much worse than guns or wars, even combined. Dead is dead.

I think a lot of it comes down to this:

The RW is exponentially more prone to rush here and start a thread based on anything (no matter how ludicrous) that comes down the pike of their Fox/Breitbart/Infowars/Etc. RW Fever Swamp Social Media feed.

Some threads may have "merit" (in a marginal way), but many times the threads are later discredited (or the posters (themselves) don't even realize how misguided the RW "narrative" is).

This leads to threads like the present one (that we are posting in).

It was obviously the intention of the OP to throw shade at Obama.

It was probably some chart that was making the rounds of the RW Fever Swamp.

But, in effect, he actually made the argument AGAINST Trump.

Who, on a monthly basis, had a mortality (from shooting rate) 9x that of Obama.

    Here are the stats:

Trump 101 deaths in 13 months. 7.8 deaths per month

Obama 90 deaths in 96 months 0.9 deaths per month

Trump per month = Almost 9x the rate of Obama.

Anyway, I think it is always a good idea (from BOTH sides) to verify the veracity of anything that looks remotely questionable.

And I think that the poster of the OP just rushed here to post something that would seem critical of Obama, without actually thinking it out.

    It happens.

Anyway, when you crunch the numbers, the OP made a great argument in favor of Obama.

And, since it is well-known that my personal allegiance is somewhat to the "left" of the spectrum, I am glad to see that Obama's monthly average was only 1/9th of Trump's.

Until this post, I wasn't aware of that.

So, may I offer my thanks to the OP. :salute:

Not only that - it is yet another effort by a forum right wing radical extremist to take attention away from the many failings of Trump and the far right agenda. This ridiculous agenda has no basis in rationality or in reality. Yet, these deluded right wingers are so blinded by their hate for the USA, their hate for the TRUTH, their hate for anything rational, that they continue to succumb to the inane ideas of those sources you mentioned.

The OP has failed to come back to this thread because it has been exposed for the FAIL that it is. On other occasions, other far right forum members have done the same. And they will continue to do so no matter how many times we patriots expose their infinite failings. The right wingers are unprincipled, they are liars, they are haters of America.

    CASE CLOSED.

When it comes to Trump's RW Apologists:

I just think a lot of it just comes down to the FRUSTRATION of constantly being called on to Defend the INDEFENSIBLE.

That said, as long as anyone RW/LW/Independent/Etc. post within the Rules of PF they are entitled to have posting privileges here.

If they start RW "Epic FAIL" threads or get called out for BS (and don't respond)--as long as they are following the Rules of PF, there is nothing anyone (outside of a Mod) can do.

Thus, the constant stream of Unfounded RW Fever Swamp BS is unlikely to abate at PF.

And, as an example, there is this ridiculously COMICAL meme that the RW uses any time that they are getting owned in a thread.

TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome)--it is meant to be a derogatory term to shade Trump's critics.

The Truly COMICAL thing is this:

Every time that the RW is getting owned in a thread that points out Trump's shortcomings, their go-to "defense" (for months ,at this point) is "But...Obama...But...Clinton".

In other words their go-to "defense" is based on Obama Derangement Syndrome (ODS) and Clinton Derangement Syndrome (CDS).

And, I don't even think that they realize how ridiculous they look when they trot out the tired "TDS" absurdity.

    Talk about "Pot Meet Kettle".

Yet, they persist with their "But...Obama...But...Clinton" BS on a daily basis.

Oh well, it is what it is.

And, on topic, Ttump's rate of shooting casualties (on a Monthly Basis) is almost 9X Obama's. :salute:

Hey right wing OP - how about answering that TRUTH?

It's time to call him out about this on a daily basis so we can continually laugh at him and his fellow far right America haters.

Thing is,... that a motor vehicle is not specifically made to kill far from it, unlike guns.
