But I thought Trump was going to make us sooooo safe that we wouldn't believe how safe he was going to make us?

Have you any points of fact to debate or are rants and a goofy analysis all you have going for you?

Killing Mexican citizens while they're still on Mexican territory... you don't see anything wrong with that, do you?

    That's your problem, right there.

There's also sugar, fat, salt and tobacco. And meds. And chemicals found in food, or in the air.

    Life kills.

Good point bringing up motor vehicle fatalities highlighting the fact that cars are becoming so much safer. If there was no insurance or license required to drive a car, the fatalities would be many times higher. Having to show that you are capable of driving a car safely has significantly reduced the number of road fatalities. Also enforcing seat belt use has significantly reduced fatalities. Oh, there is also speed limits imposed. Oh, and effectively no alcohol. And no mobile use. The motor industry is always looking at ways to reduce fatalities, unlike the gun industry.

Dead is dead. So you're willing to go 70 mph and risk killing people when the national speed limit could be 35 mph with very few people killed.

In the long history of the world 35 mph is very, very fast and would save a ton of lives and severe debilitating injuries.

Very true. There can be no life without death. We are born with a death warrant on our foreheads.

A hog died for me this morning, that I might live another day.

Slower is always better. If you are involved in an accident and going 35 mph your chances of surviving are greatly increased plus you ability to stop quicker is enhanced as well. I'm all for a national speed limit in the range of 35-30 mph.

Most of the best moments I had in my life were either dangerous or unhealthy.

right wing hero Trump also promised every one would have health care - so far, THREE MILLION have lost health care coverage thanks to that buffoon

and, as usual, the far right fails to address the matter

I agree. And for me 15 mph is very fast in a boat -- even with polarized glasses it's rare to be able to see what's underneath just ahead of the boat.

A guy here hit an undulating dredge hose here at high speed recently, yeah, signs were posted in the water. The large outboard flipped up and into the boat and cut his entire back completely out of him, DOD, dead on the dock.

Agreed; people sometimes do not realize that speed can be a determining factor in survival.

I spot you're ignoring the argument of,... cars are not designed to kill, unlike guns.

There are many laws to regulate cars, few complain about them. The real question about gun control is if it would actually matter in a society where there are so many guns, attitudes towards them are so positive, and views of government are so negative.

Cars do kill, and kill intensely. Dead is dead. Body count is body count.

Yeah... but a car aint a weapon. We don't mind North Korea having zillions of cars,.. we do mind that they got a nuclear bomb.

Well cars can be a weapon as in running people over at the NSA or car bombs. I am not sure of the significance of one being designed as a weapon and the other not. And no one cares much if Korea has conventional weapons -nuclear ones are special.

And they confiscated the guns of the people first. Of course it is impossible for our gov't to get worse, the good old USA! We will always have the gov't our founders gave us, but only as long as you do no confiscate guns. Although rights have been cleverly eroded even with guns. Yet take guns away and there nothing stops sociopaths, our ruling elite. I think the Founders, were wise, unlike the democrats of today. They trust a human nature which history proves is not trustworthy. You need checks in place. The 2nd amendment grants that, in writing. Wisdom over emotions.

The auto industry isn't looking too hard to make their products safer is it?

Irrelevant. Anyone doing that speed is breaking the law. So should cars have speed limiters? I say yes, what do you say?

What bearing on your marriage has to do with Obama? Millions get married yet marriage is not an invention by Obama.

My point is the same as the graph.

We in this country are wrong to put the blame on presidents for mass killings.

I think here in CA they do have speed limiters.

Democrats do not honor law all that much. They make the laws, but seem not too interested in obeying any. For instance here in CA our state supports illegal aliens and cities and state bans cops from arresting them.
