Millennials’ extreme hatred for Baby Boomers is totally unjustified

Or just appropriate the term as a badge of honor. Until I started high school, I was known as a military brat. Some time after that I remember reading that there were some parents who took offense to the "brat" term and started a campaign to end it's use. I was proud to be a brat, and was offended that someone tried to take that label from me. I was a brat, I am a boomer, and I'm not going to get all worked up over any other name people want to call me.

I doubt anyone with a brain sits around and hates an entire generation.

It's as stupid as old timers saying, " Harrumph! Things were perfect back in my day".

Rolling an entire generation into one ball and saying everyone in it is exactly alike is also stupid...

But why perpetuate stupidity and hate ?? Why take that crap seriously???

Since I don't know what that means nor do I care what they think, I would just write them off as a lunatic who goes around saying weird, stupid things.........I avoid lunatics...they have no control over what I feel or say or do..

It's Gen X'ers fault. If only they would have raised their millennial kids not to be such snowflakes and whooped their asses when they needed it then the world would be a better place.

WHERE does it exist? In some dope's mind in a tweet...

And NO, just because "something" exists does NOT mean one has to take it seriously...

Why perpetuate stupidity and hate ??

    Well, that's fair enough.

It's out there all right. The NYT wrote about it HERE so it's a definite thing. Granted, most of that article is behind a paywall unless you subscribe but there's enough of it readable to see what's happening and enough visible to see one shirt that's been made. It's far from being just on someone's Tweet Sheet.

As long as they serve their purpose on "Seeking Arrangements", I honestly could not care less what "Millennials" think.

I honestly think that the whole "OK Boomer" thing is beyond ludicrous.:bored:

(At least it got somebody ink in the NYT Styles Section).

No shade toward "Millennials", but, just sayin'...:salute:

What I have learned in my many years is, everyone is always going to be old to someone younger :)

It usually only takes thirteen years to realize that a seven year old thinks you are old :)

Eh, I'm just some low-lev teacher in a small town so I never pretended to think I was on anyone's radar. And like I said, I've had enough practice with teen-agers - including my own son at that age - to develop a skill-set of instant snappy repartee to deal with them should they pull this on me. I should imagine you have too, as have most parents.

But like I said, it's far more than just one millennial bratling.

That does explain it, doesn't it? We have teenagers posting here; they think anyone over twenty is old!

    Very True about Social Media.

Millennials are used to doing or saying anything...
...(and they get there validation from their "peers" online).

So, if "OK Boomer" is the new thing, then so be it.

Of course, the rise of social media has also led to Twitter giving a Platform to a MENTALLY-DERANGED IMBECILE (like Donald Trump) to Spew His MORONIC Brain Diarrhea.

    ^So, there's that. :smh:

My generation said to our parents. " were not gonna take it" and when asked what we wanted to do with our lives we answered " i wanna rock" as a result generation x did nothing of value and taught our kids to do the same.

Things started downhill with anti war protestd in the 60s
