    The 1000000 who fought for the north were not those who fought for the south. The point is they had ties to the north.

    Like i said lets get rid of the Washington monument. He was a traitor and rebel and slave owner to boot.

    but the person here wasn't Directly influencing the city counsel members at that hearing, thus scaring them with jesters of psychological violence to side with them.

    But was a topic of debate in the preceding election. And was going to change. Hence the reason for seceding and making it a formal declaration.
    Nice though how you want to defend the use of slavery.

    If they had made slavery illegal no southern state would have ever joined the Union. So you saying it was a ploy to fool the southern states into joining.
    I defend the constitution and states rights. I do not sanction slavery. Thats why I oppose the income tax.

    Rich White guys were the buyers … and the owners … and the romantic bunch who STILL long for those Good Old Days when blacks (and women and Jews and Catholics and [ …… ] ) knew their place and didn't complain and just kept quiet and did what they were told ...

    Is that what you call Arabs? They sold them to each other as well. If they didnt sell them they would kill them . So maybe slavery actually saved millions of them and led them to a better life here in the US for their decedents.

    I say this is just the beginning. Blacks do not see American history as representing them. But then what history does? Their ancestors were slaves who were sold into slavery by their fellow countrymen.....so it is betrayal all around. While I think it is silly to try and hide American history I can see where their position is not a good one. Think about history from different perspectives. I really do not see how they are supposed to view it.

    Well it basically was. You can drag all kinds of other issues on it. But they didnt go to war because of trade restrictions.

    Today it is political correct to eliminate, exterminate southern heritage. Once this is done, whose heritage will be next? If it can be done for one, it can be done for two or more. It can be done to yours if you fall on the opposite side of political correctness. Also political correctness today may not be the political correctness of tomorrow. Tomorrow you and your heritage may be political incorrect and bye, bye baby.
