The US has more than enough warheads to easily overrun any ABM system. And then our cruise missiles will fly under the radar (if there are even any radar systems still active in Russia by the time the ALCMs arrive) and our stealth bombers will fly right through the radar without even being detected.

We have enough nuclear bunker busters to deal with Russia's large civil defense shelters too. So any Russians looking to ride out the war underground can look forward to becoming a layer of jelly in a mountain sandwich after the mountain collapses down on top of them.

If Russia will not be deterred from invading the Baltics, then Russia will be destroyed by the nuclear war that erupts from their invasion of the Baltics.

Those are old planes that are destined to be replaced by the F-35.

The Marines refuse to buy different planes while waiting for the F-35 to be produced. They want the F-35 and nothing else.

This has nothing to do with the 4,500 thermonuclear warheads that are available for destroying Russia.

The Air Force as well is waiting for the F-35.

Air Force fighter pilots are in a bit of a bad spot due to having been double crossed by our politicians. Instead of the F-22's that they need to annihilate Russian fighters, they are being saddled with F-35's.

The F-35 is a great replacement for the Marines' Harrier Jump Jet, but it is a lousy replacement for Air Force air-superiority fighters. We really need to restart F-22 production, and criminally investigate the politicians who cancelled the program.

But this also has nothing to do with the 4,500 thermonuclear warheads that are available for destroying Russia.

This does not makes sense. We have no retired B1b's to pull parts off of that I know of.

At any rate, the B1b has always been a difficult to maintain bomber, and it has long since been removed from nuclear missions. It lacks the B-2's ability to penetrate close enough to the target to drop bombs, and it offers no real advantage over the B-52 when it comes to hauling ALCMs (cruise missiles).

This has nothing to do with the 4,500 thermonuclear warheads that are available to destroy Russia.

Here at least you are finally addressing weapons that will be used to destroy Russia.

We have enough ALCMs (cruise missiles) to equip 66 B-52's with 20 ALCMs apiece.

66 x 20 = 1320 nuclear cruise missiles that can be launched against Russia. This is a significant chunk of the 4,500 thermonuclear warheads that we have on hand to launch at Russia.

Currently we are only putting 200 ALCMs on 44 B-52s. But that's a peacetime loading -- when actual shooting breaks out between the US and Russia, we'll suspend the START treaties and load all 66 B-52's with all 1320 ALCMs.

 

There is no need to deter something that Russia has zero intention of doing.

If Russia is destroyed, then Europe and the USA will also be destroyed. That you are actually willing to sacrifice the entire civilized world in order to protect a few measly countries from a nonexistent threat is completely insane.

 

Russia has demonstrated that they have every intention of invading the Baltics.

So be it. Our weapons are robust enough that we will give a good accounting of ourselves before we go.

If the threat were truly nonexistent, there would be no sacrifice of the civilized world. The nuclear war will only occur if Russia invades the Baltics.

Further, by moving forces into the Baltics, we make the threat even more remote. The more forces we have in the Baltics, the less likely Russia will invade.

But in the end, the United States is indeed willing to sacrifice the entire world in order to protect the Baltics from Russia. And I do indeed support this policy. If Russia goes through with their invasion of the Baltics, the United States will escalate all the way to total thermonuclear war if necessary.

And like I said above, if we are destroyed in the process, we'll give a good accounting of ourselves on our way out. The world that we leave behind will be one in which Russia will never again exist.
