Paying for Illegal Immigrant Healthcare Is Insane

What's the point of making a distinction between a citizen and a non-citizen if non-citizens receive the same services as a citizen?

 

If "compassionate" Democrats want illegal immigrants to have access to healthcare, then Democrats can pay for it themselves.

 

I happen to know those guys.. and I'll guarantee you are much more abusive than they (just from the ideas you espouse). I have seen many times that when some gung-ho and abusive type enters the ranks.. his fellow officers run 'em off.

 

The one where democrats lure millions of illegal aliens to overwhelm our border with promises of freeshit and sanctuary, if they can manage to survive the trip, all to corrupt the 2020 census and steal electors from those states who follow immigration law.

 

I am no fan of federal law enforcement agencies. And if an illegal immigrant is living here and paying their own way, then I have no desire to see them hassled or deported. But when they start reaching into my pocket, their immigration status becomes my business. And I have no reservations or qualms about deporting illegal immigrant welfare cases.

 

Yes, paying for ANYTHING pertaining to illegal aliens is indeed insane. With this sort of logic I can just go to the States and get free healthcare because you know, policies.

Money don't grow on trees. SOMEONE have to pay for it. Same goes for resources. They are not infinite. They are very finite.

The Healthcare system is already strained as it is, too. Adding illegal aliens into the mix will only encourage even more people to come ILLEGALLY and be an even bigger strain on those who pay taxes. Sooner or later the entire system will collapse in on itself.

 

No person who enters our country illegally should have any expectation of anything, other than a bus ride back to their home country.

 

Crossing the border illegally? Ye. You're literally breaking the law of that nation, and that nation are under no obligations to take you in as a citizen if you do.

Overstayed your visa? I'd say there's lots of room for discussion and to go on a case by case basis.

 

Do you think offering the opportunity to buy healthcare insurance and the OP's suggestion it was going to be given away for free is a matter of nuance?

 

The candidates on that stage were not talking about the Affordable Care Act or something similar where people take money out of their pocket and can choose to purchase health insurance. They were talking about taxpayer-funded Universal Health Coverage, and whether that coverage should extend to illegals.

I don't espouse any ideas, pal. I expose Trump for what he is and that hardly makes me abusive. There are abusive border patrol guards, and they ain't being run off by anybody. They show up for work every day. They need to be reported as abusive, not run off.

 

We are a nation of immigrants, yes? American citizens do not **** on the downtrodden. It is not the American way.
Also, and equally important is that we have culpability for this disaster in Central America.

 

Please don't tell me what I seem to be, because you have no clue.
American taxpayers, just like me, will pay no matter what so get off your high horse and see the forest for the trees.

Letting them get sick and spread disease is more insane. We don't pay for anyone's healthcare in this country. We pay for life saving medical care, but even then we try to bill the person first. this is often pointless as people without insurance often don't have the money to pay for their own emergency care either. So paying for it would allow illegal immigrants to seek medical care sooner, not spread potentially fatal disease, and overall make us all healthier and more productive.

I get why you feel you shouldn't pay for it though, but you aren't considering the pros and cons properly. You're just bumper sticker posting or Russian trolling.

People who are confused why every democrat on the debate stage pledged to extend free healthcare to illegal aliens, even though that seems to be an unpopular stance, don't yet realize that it was just another lure aimed at the impoverished south of the border to risk their life and make the swim.

The democrats resist any attempt to stem the tide. The democrats resist any attempt to even enumerate the scope of the problem. The democrats are putting these peoples lives at risk by enticing them to come here illegally.

We need to streamline the LEGAL immigration process, no question. But we should all be loudly discouraging people from risking their lives to come here illegally... yet... the democrats are not. They are encouraging it. They are wholly to blame for the human crisis that is happening down there, and it is despicable.

Well, I'm not much for the whole 'cruel and unusual punishment' thing. But I agree, recidivism for deportees should have an increasing scale of penalty.

Trump pulled $180 Million Dollars from foreign aid to Guatemala and Honduras ....... Now he spending $4.3 Billion Dollars at our border for housing

That's the thing about Mexico, they simply toss you with the wolves and forget you unless you pay a ransom... That's why illegals don't fear our immigration laws, hell even the jails are better then they live. So if you want to deter them you have to match the punishment they are afraid of..

Doctor's should treat the ill, not worry about what legal status they might be.

Due to bad and bottled up immigration policies, many of those illegals have been here most of their lives. Since babies and children. Have graduated HS and college. Some served in our military. But because of a host of reasons, can't gain legal status. Can't get real above ground jobs.
It's due to our deranged immigration policies. IMO.

 

Sure you do. It's covered in your premiums and costs of getting actual healthcare. The healthcare profession doesn't give free care. Those who actually pay have always paid for those who can't. And we always will.
