The spread of Christianity was enhanced by the outreach of the empire. It was an effect stemming from the mystical conversion of the first emperor to be converted.

Primordial cells grouped together and evolved to form organisms. Random exposed mitosis was eventually given security within encapsulation, the egg shell, and mitosis was further refined by splitting it into the fertilization process.

There's nothing corny about two state. You're running on it here, with various bits on and off in coded sequence. Reality is based on two-state. A unit of space is either empty or not empty. It can temporarily be occupied by a photon, or not occupied when the photon moves on.

How do you interpret Leviticus 4:35

35 And all its fat he shall remove cas the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of peace offerings, and the priest shall burn it on the altar, on top of the LordÂ’s food offerings. dAnd the priest shall make atonement for him for the sin which he has committed, and he shall be forgiven.

This is really simple. No religious text is likely to do its faithful enough service over hundreds of years and a large demographic area, to compete successfully enough to spread , without both messages of war and peace, of forgiveness and accountability, of compassion and strength to be adaptable to time, place and need. No religious text is likely to answer enough spiritual needs of enough people, without speaking for an afterlife with hope, dieties or a diety that can alter fate, and a plan for moral structure and redemption. All those subjects will be addressed in broad enough language that there will be material to quote, for a tactical and strategic response to the changing circumstances its believers and authorities find themselves in over the course of those hundreds of years. You will find what you are looking for whatever your agenda, because others did, long before you. That is what winners in the religious sweepstakes have to have in their arsenal, to win. And Islam, by any definition is one of the winners in that sweepstakes.

i have just signed up to this forum to reply to this thread:

if you are asking about Islam and if it is a religion of violence or not, you should first ask the proper concerned (educated) people that should guide you to quran scientist which understands the meaning of quran very well because reading and judging without understanding the history of revelation of each verse can give you misleading comprehension. Second thing, you should differentiate between Islamic ethics and current Muslim behaviors. Why ? because some of them are "a Muslim by name" and they dont understands any of its ethics, some others behaviors are affected by politics and global organizations, some of them are not following just because they are idlers. However, their exists many of those who follow islamics ethics and understand it. Third, the correct directed media pertaining to general Islam image is very low in comparison to the other huge anti-Islam media.

in the internet, i found many videos about islam which are clashing each others, so for me, as neutral person, i cannot believe in any of them ! but i know that at most one of them is correct, and so every person will going to judge by him selves which leads to non-complete comprehension. see the following video explains clearly what is going on between current politics which destroy the image and the correct facts about honest old religions.

I think it's important to acknowledge all parts of Islam. Focusing on the good parts can backfire when the bad parts turn up. Most non-muslims don't care who is a "true" muslim (and don't believe it's true anyway), and since both sides claim to be true, saying things about "true" Islam merely comes across as dodging questions.

There are good parts and there are bad parts. This is true for most ideologies/religions/world views and so on, so that shouldn't be a point against Islam in any broader sense.

well, i believe Islam, Judaism, Christianity are all having the same message from the same God and by different messengers (Jesus, moses, Mohammed, Solomon, david, jacob, joseph,... ) at different times and areas. So every Muslims,Jews, christians are all brothers in one god.

Now, back to your comment, i understand why you call some parts of islam as "bad parts". In fact, you call them bad parts because you believe they are bad according to your self judgment that comes after initial reading of quran or maybe because your heard about islam from others anti-islam media which are all around us. However, those "bad parts", as you call them, have an explanation from muslim educated people which are not available in your region for some reasons that you may know or not know but the concerned people "muslims" know.
and that's why i mentioned in my first response the following (you should first ask the proper concerned educated people that should guide you to quran scientist which understands the meaning of quran very well).

and when you sense any kind of dodging questinyons form muslims, then that is because the quran book is the god's words. i know this the first impression from non-muslim against muslims. Muslims believes quran's words are god's words, and so every muslims sanctify these words and they knows that he/she must be aware when he try to explain/translate quran words. and that's why i mentioned the following (proper concerned (educated) people that should guide you to quran scientist which understands the meaning of quran very well )

Muslims already know the explanations of those parts that you call them "bad parts" and that why they believe and insists that they are "good parts" but not bad parts.

You conclude "There are good parts and there are bad parts" but based on what you made your judgment ? muslims dont see any bad parts. You may think they are stupid or ideologies-followers and they are see you as unbelievers or Atheist. In common all are human and having the same brain, but both have different facts in their heads. why is that ? you should ask politicians.

    i hope peace prevails humanity.

I wasn't referring to bad parts of the Qur'an, I was referring to subgroups of muslims, like ISIS.

All muslims think their own version of Islam is true, so if you use the words "true Islam" to refer to your version of Islam, its very easy to mix it up with someone else's version of Islam (because they will call their version of Islam "true"). In fact, many non-muslims who hear about "true Islam" but who don't believe in Islam anyway interpret the word "true" to mean "faithful" or "literal", rather than correct, which undermines the idea that the Qur'an needs educated interpretation.

Find an absolute word for your version of Islam, one that will mean the same thing to every reader, not just to you. That's a fundamental rule of communication.

    Welcome to PF.

If you want to understand a religion, you should look at its holy texts.

The Quran says that blasphemers are cursed (33:57). Literally four verses later (33:61), it says that the accursed must be killed. You don't have to be a scholar to figure out that blasphemy is a capital crime in Islam.

i dont want to waste my time to elaborate on this clear subject. just see the following video and you will know what is going on there and how some international people that call themselves "muslims" leading some stupid muslims.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ivl3DHwbMyA

before talking about the term "version" i want to say, it is not muslims who want to insists thier opinins but it is our god who want all humanity to know his messages (all non-corrupted religions). Muslims are only trying to deliver the god's message. muslims believes that the holy books of torah and bible are gods words but then they gets corrupted by ancient rulers who tried to Crucify jesus and then has changed the original bible/torah scriptures according to their interests and desires without fearing God, and by the time the correct scriptures disappeared or maybe hided-out. That situation results in new generation of unbelievers/ atheists which made their faith discions according to their self reading of those corrupted scriptures and they concludes that all religious books are man-made unfortunately. If you are honest with yourself, so this is the truth that everyone should know, and i am not under estimating other religions but this what our god of all religion said in quarn. god's wants you to know what happened to his original messages by ancient unbelievers (anti-crist).

islam reflected its ethics in and by quran and by prophet's directives (mohammed) which revealed to him from God. so quarn is one vesion and islam is islam no multi version of it. if your are talking about political versions so this is something else and i hate politics and politicians because they are destroying everything and they will be punished by god sooner or later.

You dont have right to put Islam in multi versions ? If you make Islam in multi versions, so you are doing the same thing of what those ancient rulers did on previous god messages (torah and bible).

when you are trying to estimate quran, one thing you should aware about. This is god's words even if you r not believing on it. you should ask your self a probability question: what if my explanation is true, what is your situation in-front of your god (out god) after the death. so it is not a game in which one wins and the other lose rather than it is a duty to deliver the message.

this is what Muslims see, and NO one is forced to accept or deny what they insists on.

Have fun! I heard that the Bible Reloaded guys (on YouTube) will also be doing the Quran Reloaded at some point. That's like an audio book version with commentary :D

The problem is that people let religion alter their conception of what is good and what is not good.

In what religious text does God (or "Allah") order the genocidal slaughter of an entire people by his followers....including the infanticide of children and babies?

Only infidels, protestants, and renegades to Holy Scriptures, do that. Holy books should always be used for Goodness and not Badness.

I know. I am merely making a point about the Islamophobic cherry-pickers who scan the Quran for violent verses and say "See? See? It's a violent evil religion"....

who have never read 1 Samuel 15:3

It's not cherrypicking when that is actually what the religion preaches.

You don't need to read the Koran to understand it.

Just listen for the "allah" right before the vest detonates.
