Nope!! You can trawl through all of my posts I have never once advocated for a gun ban in America

Because it would be counter productive - there are too many guns there already

What is required, and what causes even more collective wheezing from the gun crowd than banning is advocating for increase in personal responsibility

And what is your plan to make people more responsible? There are a lot of professionals who would love to know how to ensure people do that.

How do you make them more responsible behind the wheel of a car?

Now you move us on to the real problem. Just how responsible is the average human being? One of the more serious killers in the developed world is slips and falls in the home. In view of that, should we make a law requiring that everyone live in single level dwellings with dirt floors?

Are you that desperate to meet your gun banner quota?

This happened last year, there have already been at least 2 threads on this event. Go home.

Is your answer in the form of a riddle or are you racking your brain for a follow up to your claim?

again all you want to do is hold the innocent accountable, for what the lawless do,now how is this a solution to what is really wrong. This is what you don't ever seem to understand we are not the enemy,we want the lawless to be held accountable for their actions, and all you want is to disarm us.This is why no one gets anywhere, you don't see no reason for anyone to own a gun, just because you don't,and if you do then you are the problem.Guns are not made to just kill people with as most of your group thinks, they are used for hunting, collecting, target shooting, and yes self defense against those who wish to harm others but that is not us legal gun owners.

So if he were just a retired school teacher and felt threatened during an attack by a much younger person it would be OK, or is it all about cop hate.

I'm guessing that a retired school teacher would not have confronted the texter anyway.

Oh, I bet he would. No more of a "superior complex" individual than a school teacher.
But if it would make you feel better, what if he were a retired mechanic?

Not sure what you are getting at. If you disagree with my assertion that the ex-police captain had an authoritarian complex, due to his position as a police captain(an authority position in society), I do not care.

He should not have mouthed off at the texter. The texter should have ignored him and the ex-cop should not have shot him despite the popcorn. Imo, the popcorn represented a lack of submission and a small degree of aggression, yet did not justify the use of his weapon.

In any case, the shooter had no correlation to the vast majority of CCW holders.

If I felt threatened with physical violence when I am 72 and the start to the attack was a thrown object. You are darned right I would kill the person. In an instant.
    So your opinions are worthless.

So, to you, having popcorn thrown at you, after you rudely mouthed off, justifies shooting someone?

Yes. And how do you know he was "rude". Does someone being rude to you allow for you to assault them?
Just clarify that you hate cops and guns. And CCWs are among your most hated things.

Statistically, only the illegally armed are the dangerous ones.
Once again, you can't tell the difference between legal concealed carry, and the illegal carriers.

They should pass a law outlawing shooting people in movie theaters over texting. That would prevent this from happening again.

There is a law against assault. Don't assault people and you probably wont get shot.

Personal responsibility is not throwing something in someones face after they ask you to turn your phone off.

Complete nonsense. The fact that one ex cop has a problem with trying to police movie theaters does not reflect on cops in general or CCW holders. I'm a CC and would not attempt to police a texter or shoot him for throwing popcorn in my face. It is reasonable to assume that there are a very small % of ex authorities that forget they are civilians. I have in no way accused cops in general of anything and fully accept that their authority is an important function in society. I've asserted this particular ex cop played a major roll in an unnecessary death.

OK, you are with your wife and you say something to someone. They respond with throwing something in your face. When you are in your 70s and your aggressor is in his 30s.
You just going to sit and wait for him to continue his attack?
Now, tell me you have never had a cross word with anyone, ever. In your entire life and never will. LOL
