ah, but putting in God we trust on our money is advocating for God based religions over any other....

the government should not be picking one religion over another

Well there are many religious right posting on these threads. Perhaps you could point to a single one advocating for a theocracy. Or more likely you can just continue to beat that straw man.

I hate to break this to you but law in all of the western world is already based on Christianity. Western culture is based on Christianity so of course our laws would be.

So theocracy is wanting things like was against murder theft slander that's already three commandments do we need to continue?

I hate to break it to you, but that is not true, the ten commandment does not support religious freedom, thus would not support our constitution

maybe you need to recheck all the commandments again

yes, Christians included many secular laws in their bible... that is true

but the USA will never include all the ten comandments in our laws

God is imaginary, gives you as much freedom as the tooth fairy and many believe in her too, though most grow out of it

Doubtful and I don't believe in your psychic abilities to be able to know what somebody wants and doesn't say.

The number of white nationalists are so small that I doubt anybody gave them any significant thought as far as the election goes the people who think about them the most are the people who invent them for some sort of Boogeyman.

yes they can, and people can not believe in him... that is the point, the government should not be involved in it

as long as you follow the law, you can believe in what ever you want, now obviously you can't stone people for picking up sticks on the weekend or anything like that

I have a right to believe God is imaginary and state it, and you have a right to say God is whatever you want him to be

what neither of us has the right to do is have the government tell others what to believe

Right the concept of religious freedom comes from Christian groups that were being persecuted in Europe.

It was various sects of Christianity that didn't want a nationally recognized religion. It wasn't secularists.
you should recheck your history again.
    no secularism adopted religious laws
Because Christians wanted to practice their various different religious views in peace.

They are not advocating for a theocracy any more than when John Adams said "The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God." Or when George Washington said "It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favors." None of them have ever or will ever advocate for a church state.

we have had many religious people claim things like that, doesn't make us a Christian nation, just means many politicians use religion as a tool to get elected, even Trump tried it when he gased protestors to get an upside down bible photo op

I never said all Christians opt for a church state, in fact the good ones imo would never do that

most realize a Christian State would then take over the religion, then Christian infighting would begin

No, they should have the option to use that money on an independent health exchange plan.

your right that Christians infighting gave us our religious freedom we know today

your wrong that Christians came up with killing and stealing is bad, everyone knew that before the people that created God were even born

If I remember right Ronald you are in the UK?

Stuff like this must seem like the outer spiral of galactic whackydom from your perspective.
