I said I try to make sure my Sniper Teams using Barrett 82 .50 Caliber Rifles are well hidden within less than a mile.....700 years is optimum....although a Canadian Sniper using the Barrett M82 had a KILL SHOT at 2 miles...a mile is 1760 yards or 1609.34 Meters in a mile.

What I said is if something goes wrong during a standard MEET AND GREET...my Team has orders to KILL EVERYONE and if possible wound one badly and extract info from them....but at that point and you know the story of because of my ego and huge mistake I was shot....they killed everyone and I killed the SOB who shot me...3 times in the chest!!!

We are HUMAN BEINGS.....we do not kill civy's....unless we have no choice.

What I remember was that you were talking about a scene in, I think, the movie Predator, where the group panics and opens fire. And how what you would do is similar to that, but that you and your team would do it in a full 360 degree sweep.

And how anyone in the room, or on the ground, or in houses up to a mile away, any one who is at waist level will die.

Why would human intelligence not be able to comprehend God ? Often his is an excuse for the inability of literalists to try and explain away Biblical contradictions and/or the irrational and nasty things God is depicted as doing in the Bible.

The Bible says hat man was created in the image of the God's and that the only thing that separates man from being like the Gods is eternal life.

We humans....... have far far far far far far far more power over world events than we tend to imagine!

Our choices........... set in motion major series of events......... that affect millions and billions of lives!

Adam........ Abraham....... Moses....... David... Solomon....... Isaiah..... Yeshua - Jesus....... (and quite frankly The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him)........these human beings made choices...... that set in motion a series of events.........that play a highly significant role in the "restitution of all things!'

I somehow missed this thread, & the earlier one. I have started similar ones, pondering the great mysteries of life, so i am definitely interested in this subject.

Regarding the basic question of the OP, the answer would be pretty much anything. Any obvious display of existence by a supernatural being, or some sense related factor would be empirical proof of his existence.

But this only begs the question, 'Why does God, if he exists, shroud himself in mystery?' That is the more basic question, if we wish to presume the existence of Deity.

And the answer to this, from our perspective is also quite simple: 'We don't know'. People guess. they speculate. They go through amazing mental gymnastics & data juggling to try to find a rational explanation for 'Why?'

I see 3 basic strategies for this basic question:

1. Seek for answers.
2. Declare the answers.
3. Ridicule the questions.

 

There are many interesting ways to look things.

One is that these stories of beings coming to earth from the sky were actually - beings that came from the sky !

Genesis is a rehash of ancient Sumerian and near eastern tales. Even in Genesis it is "God's" rather than "God" who create man.

The idea that man is created in the image of the Gods "Like us", when taken in context of the stories from which Genesis was written, supports the idea that the creation of humans had some intervention along the way.

The Sumerian (and other) stories talk of beings that came to earth to mine resources (Annunaki). The work was hard and some of the Annunaki workers complained.

A council was held before the leader (Anu). Enlil (Anu's son and leader of the workers) brings the complaints before the council. Enki (Anu's other son and great scientist) proposes a solution.

The solution is to create a worker drone. The gene's of the Annunaki are mixed with various earth creatures (hence the half lion half man stories of old). Presumably they then chose one - probably an Ape-Annunaki fusion.

These new creations (which were carried in the bellies of Annunaki women according to the story) were called Adamu. Go figure !

There is a reason that almost all major religions share three concepts. A divine creator, a heaven and earth, and eternal life. Either these are some subconscious need of the human mind or they are all referencing the same thing just with different names.

 

Only one thing would prove the deity hypothesis since that's all it is without proof, me dying and once I get past its not a livid dream or delusion, going cool the deists were right now let me apply my reason and learn all about this new level of reality and explore it.

Until then its likely impossible.

 

If you ever get the chance to watch the film "Ex Machina".... ask yourself the question............ If you were the owner of an Artificial Intelligence Robot who looked and thought somewhat like a woman........ ..... would you at the minimum seriously consider ways to make her permanent.... I think the scenarios of Lucifer assaulting God's work and endeavoring to be God's replacement are all just metaphors. Reality is an interaction of opposites. Overall reality is not a critical do or die contest between ultimate organization and absolute destruction. These do tangle and have wreckage in their track records, but overall it's a dance between the two. Lucifer's alleged motive to usurp God's throne is an anthropomorphic projection that may well be questionable.

Reality is a separation of opposites, a separation of charges, but not an all out exclusion of conflicting parts. Some subatomic particles contain antiparticles despite the fact that matter and antimatter annihilate when brought together.

A healthy balance between opposites is necessary for sustained periods of stability, but accelerated progress or jumps in progression generally entail a temporary unbalanced condition that may feature some degree of chaos.

Black holes are really nasty things that can eat up an entire solar system and still be hungry for more big stars that get too close, yet they are apparently essential to the structure of the universe.

The desired goal is for positive construction to prevail over the opposing forces of dissolution in support of entropy reduction, at least until progression is fulfilled and it's time to recycle.

 

Quarks have a massive number of Virtual Quark/Antiquark Pairings.

I believe the Numerics specific to these Pairings is what is either driving or detailing Causality.

It is interesting that Lucifer is termed a "Covering Cherub."

This verse from the Psalms makes me wonder if the cherub he rides on.... could look much like the proverbial Pegasus?

The story about Lucifer/ Iblis being asked to bow to Adam.... is not only in the Koran but is in Jewish apocryphal literature as well........ Jealousy is a pretty natural emotion and it is not so difficult to imagine it turning paradise into a war zone!
