Rene Descartes,... the father of modern philosophy,... said the only sure thing was that,... "I exist,"... because Descartes realized,... "I am thinking that thought,... right now."

He knew he existed.
But then he realized that Reality was communicating with him too.
Reality must also exist!.

 

As "Tom Campbell explains it, the info is 'out there' in the data stream, is provided" by Reality,... and called Truth by men.

 

I know several people who have dreams that sure do seem to come to pass.......
and who can read people....... and predict if somebody can be trusted or not.......

These people are noticing things that I am unaware of......... my near death experiencer friends......
are strangely gifted...... but tap into such energy that at times they seem to fry computer equipment that
they are using........

 

This is called "self fulfilling prophecy". Just because there are amazing things out there, does not mean that God did it.

 

The idea that there are configurations of matter and energy that can gain knowledge of itself is an interesting concept indeed.

I think this is worthy of a new thread.

 

Worship........ might just be a form of rather extreme thankfulness.....
or gratefulness..... and although Dr. Masaru Emoto did not do a
good job of explaining exactly how often he got the extreme results
in his research.... At the least..... what he found out about words spoken to
water...... could lay the foundation for further research.

Yes... there are some other explanations for this other than a G-d along the line of
what is taught in Jewish or Christian scriptures but............
what we are about to see will sure seem to be beyond the typical
psychic phenomena.......

she was on the phone talking to her mom.....
she asked her mom to make plans to come to Canada.....
her mom talked about how busy they were.......

My wife's dreams often come to pass.... but that is a truly strange one....
I think it is also applicable as a metaphor..... one does not have to get elected to
accomplish something worthwhile for their nation.......

I have only gotten 31 votes in all three of my campaigns combined.....
so I am truly terrible at politics .... but....

Yeah Dennis but really what is evil?

Now I have actually given this a fair amount of thought as we don't consider a CAT that has just hunted down and killed a mouse as evil.

We don't consider ourselves as evil for raising farm animals and slaughtering them for food.

So what is evil?

In my opinion....evil is negatively effecting others or life when there is absolutely no reason to do so other than greed, search for power and perhaps sadistic gain.

Now I am sure many members can poke holes in that and find exceptions...but it's the best I can come up with so far.

Man can look upon a house, and know that house was created. But when looking at a tree or something that actually has life in it, they seem to think it just popped into existence, chance, luck, nothing special about it. This baffles me. then if... that life form has came up with no way to bring back some of the most fallen

Dennis, when I voted in your poll I was somewhat in an altered state of consciousness because my meds failed me.

It turns out that the generic brand of Risperdal that I was taking, when I switched Pharmacies, wasn't as potent as the brand I was taking before that worked for me.

And I saw a spiritual side of life, but I was so paranoid it wasn't worth it.
