That can all be covered at the end of a Quarter Mile track ... if you ever get there.

What does this have to do with Old Dinosaurs?

Tesla certainly pushes the envelope and knows how to work the system so taxpayers, and regulatory incentives, help to fund his company. Old Dinosaurs are a big part of that revenue stream, where Progressives, given the income challenges they are always complaining about, do not contribute as much. So, perhaps you might want to rethink the spittle you posted regarding the people funding your dreams.

As far as Tesla vehicles go, range will improve as continued technical breakthroughs improve battery function.

The segment's greatest challenge is and will always be, grid capacity.

There is one thing I have to admit, old muscle cars were a rush, but they were absolute crap on a windy road :) Cars today out perform them simply because suspension technology has come so far! Believe this of not but when I was teen I sat in a old got at 135mph and you couldn't even hear the eight track over the power plant and that was all she had. In comparison, I have had my little two bit Ford Focus up to 143mph and all I could hear was my ass squeaking as it tightened up around my ball :) Todays cars are amazing for the size of the power plants they have!

Why limit yourself? Stats for a 70 buick GS stage II (top of the line) 0-60 6 seconds. 1/4 13.4 seconds.
    Stats for a V6 camary. 0-60 6 seconds. 1/4 13.8 seconds.

And the difference? GS was 465 hp, Camry is 268. Weigh about the same at around 3500 lbs.

Just saying. Are you salivating for your asphalt buring camry yet?? LOL

In what way? Do you know what you are talking about, or is it just the same emotional feelings thing Progressive operate by?

I'm a truck driver. Takes me 15 minutes to fill both tanks totaling 100 gallons sometimes less if I do it at my company's yard and don't have to bother with paying.

If I have to wait any longer than that it will screw up the entire Trucking industry everybody will be late for appointments it will be a mess.

I can introduce you to an MA Miata with a transplanted LS7 and gertrag 6 speed that you could benchmark yourself on. I doubt you'll like the results.

What I cant get used to no days is the noise the older cars make when you close the doors, sounds like your in a big ol fifty five gallon drum. And the damn windows whistle most of the time and they smell weird from the seat stuffing they used back then..

I just like that new car smell now, prolly why I have never wore a set of tires out on a car before I traded them in :)

Yes. Not to mention a big portion of Tesla's profits have come from selling manufacturing emission credits to other car companies who want to do business in California. As those companies narrow the gap via their own ZEV (zero emission vehicles) offerings, the need to buy Tesla's credits diminishes.

I think Tesla's cars are pretty amazing. I know a number of people who have them and they love them. I quiet their boasting by challenging them to a race from Los Angeles to San Francisco. However, most people drive short distances the vast majority of the time, so range isn't really the big deal here in Southern California that it would be in other parts of the Nation.

Should I ever buy a fully electric vehicle, it would be after the big breakthroughs in battery technology take place. Those are just around the corner, so we shall see.

How all these electrical things are going to be maintained remains a mystery, given the insanity surrounding power generation that plagues the Progressives running California into the ground, and in other parts of the country.

Just curious, what is a "stock M6"? I mean, I know what an M6 is, but that isn't a buick, or a vette. An BMW M6 is a very different animal than the pics of the elephant Buick you shared.

I'm not sure why this topic is viewed as progressive versus conservative. If Tesla vehicles were price/performance competitive I'd bet that everybody, regardless of political persuasion would be considering them when they were in the market for a vehicle. Until they are price and performance competitive electric cars won't be driven by anyone, regardless of their politics, that needs the price, range, refueling time and durability of a more conventional vehicle.

The only Tesla I own, I bought at $53 per share. I'm pretty happy with the performance of my Tesla, so far.
