it is similar to the muslims the jews are the chosen people like the muslims are the chosen people

instead the jews see gentiles as infidels like muslims do, christians feel they are chosen as well and other religions and people are pagans or infidel or gentile

even atheists feel they are chosen to be rational and everyone else is brainwashed

In that case I owe Christianity an apology. I had thought I saw elsewhere on the forum that you are a Christian. My mistake.

As for the rest of it. There's no even arguing with someone who thinks there's "no truth" to the Jewish people having shed their fair share of blood.
The psychopathic Soviet Union was a creation that belonged seemingly exclusively to them. In case you missed history class, they butchered, starved, shot, and gassed millions upon millions of people while Hitler (who you probably think was a diobolical sinister mad man who made lampshades out of jewish babies in between plotting his invasion of Kansas via flying saucer attack) was a still an unknown man.

Many of the dictators that ruled over Eastern Europe with an iron fist... also Jewish. Imagine that?

Those evil Christians and White people! They probably shot themselves and just jumped in mass graves just to make the poor Commie Jews look bad!

as an atheist I don't feel I have been chosen to be anything .....

I understand that we believe the things we do for a whole range of reasons.

I try as much as possible to base my beliefs on evidence.

The Jews don't believe in the New Testament so for them they still see themselves as God's chosen people. The Muslims don't go by the Old or the New Testament so they might believe they are the one. But a Christian that understand the Old and the New Testament, will know that the Old Covenant that God made with the house of Israel is no longer valid or applicable under the New Covenant.

But the problem with many Christians is that they are trying to put new wine into old wine skin, rather than put new wine into new wine skinÂ…..whatever the pastor or priest tells them that is what they are going to believe regardless of what is said in the New Testament.

Dude, your avatar has a swastika and you present a quote from Hitler. Then you go on and on about how bad "Jews" are and blindly ignore the peresecution of Jews over the centuries. Jews have been killed in mass in Europe on a myraid of occasions, put in ghettos, even before Nazi Germany, and expelled repeatidly from entire countries. And this is just the tip of the ice burg.

What can I say, people suck.

As for Zionist Israel, this is really the focus of this thread. And why does zionist Israel exist today? Is it not because of what they endured during the Holocaust? In fact, is this not part of the reason that those who hate Israel deny that the Holocaust even occured?

No matter your opinion on Israel, it seems that Biblical prophesy is coming to fruition. The world is out to destroy her and will unite to do so. It's called the final battle.......

The ingathering of the Jews already happened twice, long before 1948... That's why Revelation is written in the past tense.

Are you one of those who believes all the prophesies in Revelation have already come to pass?

Yep... just about all.. It helps to read history .. and the accepted symbolism of the times.

Its addressed to the seven church communities.... and they certainly understood it perfectly.

John of Patmos wasn't writing voo doo mystry to them.

I don't see where he was denying what was done to the Jews. He was only showing that the Jews themselves have also committed atrocities to others as well. The Jews like all human beings are guilty of mistreating other human beings, are you denying this? Should people ignore what the Jews did but only talk about what other people did or what was done to the Jews?

He was singling out them as a people and assassinating their character and this is all because some say they are God's chosen people, which drives him into a rage.

No question that Christian Europe persecuted the Jews for 2000 years.. and apparently they feel entitled to do the same thing to the Palestinians who gave them sanctuary when they were refugees.

I think you fail to realize that this is allegory and the kingdom of heaven is spiritual just like the New Jerusalem is spiritual.

There is no arguing with one side or the other as everyone would attest to who have tried. My choices are to either argue with you for the next hour or bang my head against a wall. I think I prefer the latter.

I just find it a shame that the world is so politically polarized on the issue. They would much rather focus on Israel building settlements or bording ships than they would a country like Islamic Sudan engaged in mass genocide against Christians in the South. It's nothing but a PR war as the countries around Israel have been at war with her since the day she was born. In fact, the persecution against the zionists occured even before the zionists formed a nation in the form of Al Husseini who joined up with Hitler to off the Jews.

BTW: In case you did not know who Al Husseini is, try and do a little research. His nephew was Yassar Arafat.

Well that's just great. Thanks for that. Have you any more good news for me or is that it?

The problem in South Sudan is the Lords Resistance Army and the Christian Marxists killing animist tribes and kidnapping their children for military service.

Husseini was trying to stop the immigration that doubled the population of Palestine with foreigners in less than 15 years..

You have to remember.. the US and UK severely restricted immigration of the survivors.. and most other countries closed their borders to them.

The good Christians of the West set this up so the Palestinians PAY for the holocaust in Europe.

    Revisonist history, ain't it grand?

Husseini joined forces with Hitler to off Jews. His philosophy that a dead Jew could never be a zionist Jew. In fact, he was wanted at the war crimes trial with the rest of his Nazi hinchmen but fled to Egypt so he could spawn Hitlers wrath for years to come in the region.

As for the Sudan, I'm just speechless. What news sources are you looking at that would absolve the Islamic regime in the Sudan from genocide?

well. I think i see what you are really saying? or at least implying? maybe toying with? I really do think God fails to give some antagonistic lost souls the ability to understand what is in the bible when their attempt is to discredit it at every stand. See this.

The most basic level of enlightenment is the knowledge of sin, and without that knowledge, everything else is pointless. Psalm 18:28 says, “You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.” Psalm 119, which is the longest chapter in the Bible, is a song about God's Word. In verse 130, it says “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” This verse establishes the basic method of God's illumination. When God's Word enters the heart of a person, it gives light and understanding to them. For this reason, we are repeatedly told to study the Word of God. Psalm 119:11 says “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Verses 98 and 99 say “Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.”

Regular study of the Word of God will give direction and understanding in the issues of life. This is the first method of God's illumination and the starting point for us all. In Psalm 119 we also find another type of God's illumination. Verse 18 says, “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.” These are not new revelations, but things which have been written and revealed long before, and just now understood by the reader (one of those “aha!” moments). Similarly, verse 73 says, “Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.” The plea is for personal understanding and application of God's laws as they are studied by the individual. Fifteen times in this psalm, God is asked to teach or give understanding regarding His laws.

Bull. The prophecies of John in Revelation are future. Any past tense is due to his having seen these things. NOt that they have occurred already.

Wrong.. I am an educated Christian, by heritage, training and belief.. but I don't buy into Christian Zionism or the futuristic fiction of Hal Lindsey's version of Revelation. The history is too compelling to be misled by the Scofield heresy...

The Seven Churches who were the recipients of John's letters knew EXACTLY what he was talking about.

Oh yes, allegory, spiritual, spiritual. That way Margot can act as an authority in the Bible because it just means whatever you want it to mean.

Wrong. Ive argued with you before. Is Jesus Christ the Son of God? Is faith in Christ the only way of Salvation. Is Jesus Christ God in the flesh?

Yes, the seven Churches knew what John was talking about. But you don't.
