So, IOW, Any mention of "black" makes the comment "about race" for you. So the answer to your question within you defined parameters and qualifications is "no, it is not possible to talk about blacks without mentioning 'black' ". But that is because you think if I say "black people make less money for doing the same work as (whomever)" that I've "made it about race". And that is utterly ridiculous. There is no way to say anything about a race without specifying the race.

But your assessment is as ridiculous as is your formula. What I said wasn't "about race"; it was about income disparity. The disparity happened to be one that compared income of two races.

It has nothing to do with Pelosi. And she was chastising four of her House members who she felt had "misbehaved" (I disagree with her). YOU are artificially injecting race into it. The real racist was Trump, of course.

And that is what I said. But that isn't racist.

And that's what I said too.

Yes, he is much more subtle, but clear.

There is no evidence for that. You are saying it because you heard Trump say it. It isn't true.

Alex Nowrasteh, with the libertarian Cato Institute, analyzed the Texas data to make a comparison of immigrants in the country illegally and native-born residents. In a recent post he noted that in 2015 Texas police made 815,689 arrests of native-born Americans, 37,776 arrests of immigrants in the country illegally and 20,323 arrests of legal immigrants. Given the relative populations for each group, he wrote, “The arrest rate for illegal immigrants was 40 percent below that of native-born Americans.”

In addition, he wrote, the homicide arrest rate for native-born Americans was “about 46 percent higher than the illegal immigrant homicide arrest rate
    .”

Right, he didn't say "ALL", but nobody said he did. And I haven't seen anyone misquote him. Nobody.
    He said:

When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
That is what MSM reported. But do you really believe Mexico is SENDING them? Trump said they are. Do you believe him?

Oh come on. You're really stretching and reaching. Your error here is as obvious as it is intentional, and I'm not going to dignify it by explaining it to you.

Yes, you're deflecting and misrepresenting what happened right after objecting that MSM misquoted Trump. Hypocrisy much?

The remainder wasn't worth replying to.

Sure. A poster recently asked, what exactly is a racist? A white, college educated businessman from a northern state will answer it one way.

A white, college deficient farmer from the South will answer it a different way.

I can't tell you what a racist is, but I know one when I see one.

Speaking of which, President Trump visited a southern state yesterday to spread his racial hatred.

Referring to the four women of color, newly elected Democratic members of the House of Representatives, Trump told a packed arena, “These left-wing ideologues see our nation as a force for evil.” To roaring applause, he railed against what he called “hate-filled extremists who are constantly trying to tear our country down.”

“They don’t love our country,” he said. “I think, in some cases, they hate our country. You know what? If they don’t love it, tell them to leave it.”

After Trump reeled off several controversial comments made by Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, including accusations in which he depicted her as sympathetic to Al Qaeda, his adoring admirers began to chant “Send her back.”

For thirteen long seconds, Trump listened to the chant, a smirking grin on his face, obviously proud he had caused the chorus from the massive crowd of mostly southerners. He did not say another word until the chant finally died down.

Then came the morning after and the inevitable lies began.

Facing an onslaught of indignation and qualms even from his inner circle, Trump claimed to be unhappy his rally crowd broke into chants of "send her back."

"I was not happy with it. I disagree with it," Trump said at the White House a day after the rally, attacking those who attended his rally. Brilliant.

In a blatant lie, Trump told reporters he “started speaking very quickly” in an attempt to silence the rally attendees. He is on video with a shyt-eating grin on face listening to the chant for thirteen seconds until it dies out. How stupid can you be?

In another blatant lie that only his base could possibly believe, Trump casually said, "I didn't say that. They did."

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

    How stupid can you be?

    Trump lies so easily now.

Why? Trump can do anything, say anything and Republicans in Congress do nothing to rein him in. Instead, they re-interpret what Trump says then tell the American people he really meant something else. It is as if both Trump and Trump Republicans have challenges with the English language.

You quoted my objection to a "contrived theory" that compares "the way things currently are" to "some theoretical measure of perfection" as meaningless without details and evidence of validity. Now you quote a conservative term and its conservative definition and want to know if I believe the "squad" "adheres to that" conservative definition.

I'm sure they don't adhere to any such "conservative" idea. But I'm unclear of the connection it has with my original objection to your contrived theory.

So IOW you have a complete and total assumption that you're claiming to be some kind of rule and insisting that everyone join you in drawing a conclusion from your assumed "rule".

Yes, but you have a brain in your head that logically would lead you to examine that description to see if there is any actual truth to it, but it seems you have surrendered that freedom to Trump and L. Graham. So let me be the first to tell you, there's no truth to it. You can't find any evidence of them quoting Marx or calling for a communist party to form and intervene.

You injected race into this, Trump didn't.

“They degrade citizenship. They trash Americans. They shoot at GOP congressmen and target pro-life high schoolers and chase people out of public spaces. They make the dangerous Nazi comparisons. They jeopardize our security and tranquility. . . . And what, now we’re supposed to watch our manners?”

The Crayola women are pure nut cases. I am glad that Trump has gotten them to step forward so the people can hear just how far the democrats have gone.

Some people are getting fed up with this "people of color" crap.

KIRA DAVIS: The Term “People Of Color” Hijacks Black America’s Hard-Earned Legacy And I’m Sick Of It.

Since the “Broad Squad” came on the scene we have been incessantly barraged with rage rants about “people of color” and “women of color” and “brown people.”

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t resent it.

Being a “woman of color” is not the same thing as being a Black woman, and yet the progressive Left has decided it is. A woman of Indian or Mexican heritage may possibly find herself coming up against some kind of discrimination here and there but it is not, nor will it ever be the same thing as what Black women have faced in this nation historically and to this day.

    Not even close.

I resent having to tie my heritage to that of other people who may have no history in this country prior to 40 or 50 years ago; people who don’t have communities that still deal with the fallout of slavery, Jim Crow, and the bloody civil rights struggle. Why should Ayanna Pressley be forced to share the national stage with three other women whose communities and ancestors have absolutely zero ties to the struggles of Black Americans?

Great point. It is the use of the race card for any reason so often that it dilutes it for those that suffered the sin of slavery in this country.

I said that I really wished to stay on topic.

You, however, have attempted to derail the thread.

If you truly wish to talk about President Trump's behavior, then simply start another thread.

But I am not going to participate in the (attempted) derailment of this one.

That's exactly right. The things Democrats did to black women in this nation until the Republicans stopped them, are unspeakable, and even after losing the Civil War, through Jim Crow and the KKK, Democrats continued to horrible misuse and exploit black women for another century.

Now you have grifters and con artists like AOC, Tlaib, and Ilhan, people that have no ties to Black Heritage in this country prior to 40 or 50 years ago; people who don’t have communities that still deal with the fallout of slavery, Jim Crow, and the bloody civil rights struggle. Why should Ayanna Pressley be forced to share the national stage with three other women whose communities and ancestors have absolutely zero ties to the struggles of Black Americans?

But there they are, despite Pressley being by far the most articulate and intelligent member of the Squad, the only one with actual ties to the minority community that literally built this country on their backs. There she is, standing in the background, only getting the mic when AOC decides it’s time.

This is erasure of the saddest kind.

It's not fair that all these other grifters get to leach off and attach themselves to the real struggles and the hard won victories of Black Americans, hell, even Elizabeth Warren exploited and abused the Women of Color con to claim a victim status that was nothing more than a farce.

These naked opportunists are hijacking the unique civil rights struggles of Black America in order to hitch a ride to Victim Town. When women like Pressley are forced to lump her heritage and American experience in with those who are not “African-American/Black” she is being forced to pour water into her ancestral soup. She is forced to be brown instead of Black.

There is so much power in blackness that these women and others like them on the Left are desperate to pretend they know the struggle to siphon off even a little bit of that power.

They have no right, and I won’t participate in it.

Maybe people like Rashida Tlaib experience discrimination, but she doesn’t experience the legacy of discrimination. Black America is still digging out from a legacy that began in chains. The reality is that roots matter, and Black American roots are deep.

The only way to defend Trump is to ignore reality, black is white, night is day, racist comments are not racist.

Who did you quote? You didn't say. Was it Trump? You still believe that pathological liar?

Huh? The title of the thread is "The Squad." Trump's racist comments concerned the squad. The "send her back" chant concerned a member of the squad. How is it my comments are unrelated to the thread? That is ridiculous.

The fact is, like most Trump fans, you are unable to face reality. My comments were based entirely on reality.

Why do you support Trump if you can't defend what he says?

Or is that question derailing the thread, too?

You people have racism on the brain. Democrats go from slinging one pile of mud to another pile hoping something sticks against Trump and Republicans. It isn't working. Since Democrats are so into racism, have you called out The squad for insinuating that Pelosi is a racist twice or Kamala Harris for insinuating that Biden is a racist? The Democrats are the party of slavery and the KKK so they need to call THEMSELVES out. And BTW, Cortez, Pressley, Tlaib and Omar called themselves the squad. They started it.

I think those four are nothing more than a humorous sideshow that probably should have been ignored. A more savvy politician most likely would have ignored them. But Trump must respond to every little bad word said about him. That gets him in hot water more times than not. The phrase thin skinned, egotistical seems to apply to Trump.

Usually a president stays above the these minor frays letting underlings respond if a response is deemed necessary.
