what makes you think I don't check guns when I buy them? and WTF does child molestation have to do with owning a gun? As a matter of fact, how do we jnow if he's guilty if he hasn[t gone to trial? Why would his name be posted if ho charges have been filed?
naw, you just want gun registration because YOU have to. It might be your mindset that everyone is a potential criminal and all should be registered......... How is registration going to stop a murderer?

The State does have a compelling public interest in its domestic Tranquility and security; and, our Second Amendment clearly establishes what is necessary, in law, if we should need to quibble.

Why are the elected representatives of that State, not bearing truer witness to their own laws? Do they not realize we have a McCarthy era phrase in our pledge.

Actually every State has laws against selling guns to convicted convicts, so you have nothing to say about allowing it.

gallant says he does not care who he sells guns to, it is obvious some care about who is buying guns from them and others will sell them to someone that just stepped out of prison an hour ago.

I think the system you are looking for is already in place for the firearm dealers, but is not made available to the general public.
You should be advocating for the NICS system to be able to be used by anyone who wants to use it when making a transfer.
    No registration necessary.

that's not going to happen. much of he time, the FFl dealer can't get clearance, and frankly, nobody should NEED clearance. and the other mofo, stop putting words in my mouth. I did NOT say that I didn't care who I sold a gun to. I'd never sell one to a liberal, for instance.

Sure you did, you simply do not realize it, go look at your posts back and forth with Ronstar, maybe you will get it this time, or maybe not. Why would I care I have way more than my fair share of guns already and if I want another I will not be getting any from some guy selling them out of his garage. But then again I can fill out the proper forms and pass the background check and have my new gun by the time I pick out some handy accessories and good ammo, did it a couple of times this year alone.

I don't bother with checking the person, it does no good. I merely have the numbers that the local sheriff is glad to run. He doesn't ask where I go them from, and I don't offer. BTW, I've never come into possession of a hot piece.

Once again, I was not speaking about anything You said. If you are having the sheriff run their DL then you are doing great, most don't, I know I have two I purchased years ago that way, I gave them money and they gave me the gun.

That is because there are some posters on here who seem to think gun ownership automatically makes the owner a "good guy"

name one.......and then honestly debate him. I'd bet your mind is already made up. One who does not own a gun isn't automatically a good guy either. He's just an unarmed subject.

Smart Idea. I have been stocking up on ammo for nearly 2 years now, have what I need but can always use extra, excellent barter items.

And there are some posters here that believe those that owning guns automatically makes a person a "bad guy". It is a double edged sword and one cannot complain about other stereotyping then commit the same error themselves. I will add that there are more "good guys" than there are "bad guys" that own guns, something to keep in mind when discussing the topic.

I have "several" rounds of 30-06. Don't have anything to run them through, but I've had an offer to trade a small portion of them for a .357 Ruger w/100 rds

Same here I have some ammo that does not go with anything I own any longer, I have some 270 and 30/30 ammo that I am in the process of trading for some 12g and .380 ammo, saves both of us some cash.

Man I just picked up a Marlin 336 from my Dad that I used to use to kill cotton mouths when I was a kid (I know, overkill, but so much fun). I need to get as much 30/30 as I can. Hint, hint. ;)

Sorry, I already made the deal with a friend that just bought a new Henry, not a bad little gun and is giving me a bunch of 12g buckshot and a couple of boxes of ,380 for one of my wife's guns. My wife own a Henry LA 22 and it shots short, longs and long rifle ammo, Fun little gun to go plinking or small game hunting with, I use instead of my Ruger 10/22 most of the time. Interesting, maybe someone should consider setting up a place here for trading of whatever we want, I wonder if the owners would allow that here.

The left already knows only well regulated Militias of the People may not be Infringed when keeping and bearing Arms for their State or the Union.

When are gun lovers going to stop blaming the left for not loving our republic as much as we should, when the right is unwilling to love their republic as much as they claim to love their guns?
