3) Only certain people can get access to guns

5) Securement. And of all the legislative changes this one seems to have had the biggest impact

It is not as easy to own an assault weapon in the USA as democrats want you to believe. First there is an extensive background check by law agencies. They must first approve.

This school and the local sheriff was well aware this guy is dangerous. The cops were sent to his home close to 30 times. We have gone so far left, so far liberal we hardly can touch them when we know they are dangerous. we republicans warned them many times but they were afraid of hurting the students feelings.

In the USA, when muslims kill Americans, we want to target first Muslims. The Democrats flip out and go crazy. When blacks kill humans, we target blacks. But Democrats fly off the handle and go crazy,.

I followed your own example. Now you know how you appear.

 

I trace it back to Democrats politics. We must get back to republican principles. We want to punish only the guilty but those we think can commit a crime, must be sanctioned in some fashion. Maybe the perp could be singled out to wear a leg mounted system to tell the authority his location at all times. If it seemed he was headed to a school the leg radio would show it and the authority could show up on time.

 

When my kids were in school, my wife and I (well more her than me, if I'm honest) were active in the PTA, we had regular consultations with their teachers, they came to our house once a year to make sure that there was a proper place to study, and for us to talk about how we can help with their education. We opened up college funds for both almost as soon as they were born and paid religiously every month so they wouldn't have to worry about anything except studying.

We did what we could, and things worked out just fine.

So yes, I cared. Now... well, it's time for parents of school-aged children to care for their children. Now I care about less important things like politics.

 

You do not hear ANY Democrats actually proposing anything whatsoever to PROTECT school children. NOTHING. They don't want 1 dime taken from the every amount of money given to school administrators salaries and numbers.

 

Less guns equals less deaths by shooting. There is nothing you can say that will erase that proven reality.

The republican stance on this issue seems to be that if a proposed reform to gun laws will not eliminate ALL gun deaths then it is not worth passing. This is an obvious cop out position that they adopt in order to cover for the fact that they don’t want any gun regulation whatsoever and don’t care about how many people have to pay for their fetish with their lives.

The liberal stance on this is simple. Perfection cannot be achieved, but in the pursuit of perfection we may achieve excellence. The name of the game is minimizing gun deaths as much as possible and the first and most obvious step is to reduce the insane number of firearms littering this country. You can’t shoot someone to death if you don’t have a gun. If guns become harder to get then shooting people becomes harder to do.

I'm saying that, regardless of how much he deserves to die, death is what he was prepared for and death is what everyone like him was prepared for and that the fear of death isn't going to deter people like him.

The murder and gun violence rates went up dramatically when Australia implemented its anti-gun laws. This was only reduced after Australia DOUBLED the number of police.

So, who here favors raising taxes to hire over 1,000,000 more police in the USA? AND if that IS the solution, WHY NOT REQUIRE SCHOOLS TO HAVE TRAINED, CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICERS AT THE SCHOOL?!

The example of Aussieland doesn't work. The anti-gunners who use it hide that gun deaths and violent skyrocketed, addressed only by doubling the number of police.
