Sad, but not unexpected. So a guy who initiates a tail on a kid going home, calls it in to a police dispatch as a suspicious character, is told to sit it out and wait, gets out of his car to continue the tail, has a confrontation that results in his shooting the kid who was innocent of any crime, is let off scott free.

And people wonder why Americans have lost faith in the justice system. :frown:

    Where are the riots?

Shouldn't "they" be rioting against Holder / Obama ?
It is an excuse to "go criminal" and party in that manner.
    Tell me it ain't so.

There was nothing in his actions that night that were "stupid" nor to make him an unlikable human being.

One idiot decided to assault someone and threaten them with serious bodily harm and possible death.

And there was no evidence of that from the getgo.

Acting Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta of the Civil Rights Division said: "Our decision not to pursue federal charges does not condone the shooting that resulted in the death of Trayvon Martin and is based solely on the high legal standard applicable to these cases

It is not their job to "condone" but then I guess they would have preferred Zimmerman be killed that night then. What a Justice Department, they do not condone people defending themselves when their very life is being threatened by a thug.

So how banged up do you have to be before you can defend yourself?

So do you admit you didn't even watch the trial where this was gone over in detail?

What facts were allowed to be washed away and what evidence wasn't collected and be specific, not evidence that "might have" or evidence you make up. What specific evidence was not collected. Not evidence that doesn't exist.

You said it was murder, it was not. It was a homicide not murder. Learn the difference.

I said exactly what I mean, the evidence was quite clear and was stated quite clearly by me during the whole ordeal and your baseless assertions and diversion and make up nonsense never refute one bit of it. And now confirmed once again, there was not civil rights violation during the self-defense in which Zimmerman engaged. Martin is responsible for his own death, PERIOD.

The FBI works for Holder and they worked the evidence. So what evidence was withheld?

The police canvassed the immediate area for witnesses, no one claimed Martin intruded anywhere.
They took photos at the scence and cell phone cameras are quite adequate to do so.
The assault by Martin took place over 100 feet from the vehicle, the vehicle had nothing to do with that assault, what evidence are you claiming was in the vehicle?
It was raining at the time any blood would already have been washed away but what would that have changed had they taken a sample from the sidewalk?
There was no reason to test him for drugs and alcohol what would that have changed? There was no evidence he was under the influence of anything.
No he did not he waited for the evidence but do prove your assertion with some evidence of it and especially since the prosecutor went after Zimmerman with zeal.

So are you telling me that Brooks and Morgan are incorrect and don't know what they are talking about. I think after doing this for 26yrs they probably have a pretty good idea of what they are talking about.

I know the difference, an armed adult killing an unarmed teenager is murder.

Forgive me if take the word of seasoned LEO folks over the word of some wanna be computer forensic expert.

Not if the unarmed teenager put the armed man in fear of his life

They worked the evidence that was collected. I don't recall the FBI being at the crime scene to collect evidence. It wasn't withheld, it wasn't collected or processed in the first place.

¶ On the night of the shooting, door-to-door canvassing was not exhaustive enough, said a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation. If officers had been more thorough, they might have determined that Mr. Martin, 17, was a guest — as opposed to an intruder — at a gated community called the Retreat at Twin Lakes. That would have been an important part of the subjective analysis that night by officers sizing up Mr. Zimmerman’s story. Investigators found no witnesses who saw the fight start. Others saw parts of a struggle they could not clearly observe or hear. One witness, though, provided information to the police that corroborated Mr. Zimmerman’s account of the struggle, according to a law enforcement official.

I know you are smarter than these folks who do this for a living.

The police took only one photo at the scene of Mr. Zimmerman’s injuries — a full-face picture of him that showed a bloodied nose — before paramedics tended to him. It was shot on a department cellphone camera and was not downloaded for a few days, an oversight by the officer who took it.

I guess the officer said, "damn I forgot I took a photo of him with my cellphone".

The vehicle that Mr. Zimmerman was driving when he first spotted Mr. Martin was mistakenly not secured by officers as part of the crime scene. The vehicle was an important link in the fatal encounter because it was where Mr. Zimmerman called the police to report a suspicious teenager in a hooded sweatshirt roaming through the Retreat. Mr. Zimmerman also said he was walking back to the vehicle when he was confronted by Mr. Martin, who was unarmed, before shooting him.

I know you know more than the folks who have been during this for years on what should be evidence and what shouldn't be.

How hard was it raining and how do you know it would have just washed away. Have you ever seen blood in the rain?

He had just killed someone that is the reason and what evidence would you have that he was under the influence until you test him.

I have shown you what seasoned LE officials have said of this murder, but I know you know more than they do and they do it everyday for a living.

I am pretty sure the armed adult put the unarmed teenager in fear of his life before he took it.

It certainly is normal for a member of neighborhood watch to follow someone who looked like a thug (and clearly was one)

I'm saying none of that would have made a difference at the trail, we knew who kill Martin they didn't need to lift fibers or hair samples etc to try and prove Zimmerman killed Martin.

No you just proved your ignorance of the law again.

Ahhh YOU aren't a seasoned LEO as much as you tried to pretend with your baseless assertions and conjecture through out the whole lead up to the trial the trial and now the finding of no civil rights violations. The evidence was gone over with a fine tooth comb at trial, the prosecution wanted desperately to convict and they could not because they never had the evidence to do so and none was left on the ground.

And what evidence wasn't collected? And be specific and what new facts was the evidence to bring into it?

Who didn't they talk to that was witness to anything?

What difference would that make? They knew the next morning who Martin was.

It would make no difference at all.

They found enough to put together what happened.

So what we have plenty of pictures of his injuries.

So what, no crime occurred in or near the vehicle, what evidence are you claiming was in the truck that would have changed the outcome, and not your maybe's or might haves or conjecture.

He didn't run over him with the truck, it had nothing to do with Martin's attack or the shooting.

I know you don't know more than the folks who actually did the investigation.

Doesn't take much blood is VERY water soluable but are you claiming someone else attacked Zimmerman or someone else shot Martin?

He had just killed someone that is the reason and what evidence would you have that he was under the influence until you test him.

You have failed to show where anything they said matters a twit as to the outcome.

And BTW attach the links to the cites you are posting.

Bingo.... excellent post. Ya said it all that nails it. Not even Holder, himself, who was gunning for GZ b/c after the verdict came in, he said something about finding something to charge GZ with and he & his team of experts couldn't find anything...... now if that doesn't scream "The end! Time to move on, folks!" then nothing ever will.

3 yrs later the TM supporters are still in a rage, claiming they know exactly what really happened that night, altho the FBI/DOJ team couldn't figure it out..... wow.

Because when Zimmerman got out of that car AFTER the 911 dispatch told him, "we don't need you to do that", he was just stretching his legs? All the inconsistencies and out right lies in his story didn't add up, and he should have gotten time for at LEAST involuntary manslaughter. But hey, he killed an innocent kid based on suspicion because the kid was walking at night while black....and that kid was put on the carpet in high school for carrying an empty joint bag, so all is right with your world. Disgusting, but not unexpected.

He killed someone because he was being assaulted. You guys love leaving that part out , because it makes for a better narrative.

It's proof positive that you can't fix stupid. I don't know why people continue to try. Repeatedly relating facts doesn't change the minds of the willfully stupid. I wish people would stop trying. It got old a couple of years ago.

I watched every bit of the trial. It's easy to tell who didn't. They continue to squawk and bellow about TrayTray's innocence. Amusing, but hideously boring in the end.
