Donald Trump, a reality tv performer, has won the presidency of the United States.

As global financial markets plummet and US allies call emergency meetings, we just have to confront the reality.

Our North American neighbors and America's well-educated women, millennials, Hispanics and Blacks are, especially, deeply concerned.

Let us hope that his more outlandish promises were just more lies, and that he rises to the challenge.

    Some rejoice, of course:

Yet Trump's speech was very uniting , promising to work hard for every single American. But you keep calling the winners racists and other names. So who is the divider again? Do you democrats ever tell the truth? Didn't the 2016 election teach you guys that?

You made quite a few predictions about the inevitability of a Hillary Clinton win. Can we chalk up this post as another prediction?

I still can't believe it. Maybe there is hope after all. Trump won the Presidency AND Republicans have Congress, ensuring among other things hopefully we will have reasonable Supreme Court appointments, and we won't spend the next four years stuck in partisan gridlock.

I'm not even a Republican and I was never 100% behind Trump, but I have been so astonishingly disappointed in Democrats and 8 years of Obama's hatefulness and divisiveness, we needed a change. It looks like we got it! Now I hope everyone pulls together and makes the most of it. And I hope our country can begin to heal. I love America, and would love nothing more than to see it become great again.

See you, Obama. You sucked. The prospect of 4 years of Obama-lite in the form of Hillary was pretty terrifying. We sure dodged the bullet.

Hopefully now the partisanship and nastiness and name-calling can come to an end, and the healing can begin.

Trump was elected for his name calling and nastiness.

Or perhaps he was elected because enough people thought he was a better choice than Hillary.

I can only hope that the neo-nazis, ku klux klan, and other white supremacists, and well as the tyrannical thug Vlady Putin, who are ecstatic over Trump's election are disappointed by the reality tv performer's not carrying out their agenda.

    Time will tell.

    - - - Updated - - -

If that were the case, one would have to ask why the majority of people appear to have voted for Hillary.

    Most Excellent Point.

Why would Trumpers want to stop the nastiness that they are so proud of now?

Why wouldn't Trump carry out the agenda of the KKK, Russia, neo-nazis, and white (male ) supremacists...that's what Trump supporters elected him to do......

Obama was twice elected with over 51% of the popular vote and currently receives 56% approval/42% disapproval.

While Clinton appears to have won the popular vote, it's reasonable to conclude that a sizable percentage of the American electorate did not expect a Clinton presidency to be an extension of Obama's.

Trump is going to do fine.

Trump also has a republican super majority to work with. I don't know how the republicans in Congress are going to receive him, but I would rather have a republican majority than democrat.

Trump could have an easy path to get a lot of stuff done.

Our government basically did a 180 overnight.

Lets just say I feel encouraged, which is more than I can say I have felt over the last 8 years.

In fact, the KKK endorsed Clinton.

“For some reason this didn’t make it into her racism speech yesterday in Reno.
Ku Klux Klan leader Will Quigg endorses Hillary Clinton for president.” VIDEO=> KKK Grand Dragon Endorses Hillary Clinton, Jim Hoft Aug 26th, 2016

The KKK has always been an extension of the DP. Which probably explains why black Americans have been crushed under DP rule.

Clinton would have been 2x as worse as Obama.

The reason why the democrats won the popular vote is because an overwhelming majority of their votes come from California, Illinois, the Northeast and Northwest.

Trump the president is not Trump the candidate. His pandering to squalid elements such as neo-nazis and ku klux klanners could prove to be yet another instance of his going back on his word and stiffing people that he has used.

    One can only hope.

So, does that mean that you have calculated that his 56% approval would be 28% for her if the American majority that voted for her had been more dispersed?

    Intersting.

Get it through your head -- there is no racist conspiracy out there..

"Racism" is nothing more than scare tactic implanted in your head by years of progressive hysteria.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I am hoping that most Trumpies join with me in wanting him to betray the neo-nazis, ku klux klan, and other white supremacists who are giddy over his victory.

    - and, that he does not grovel before and suck up to the Russian thug whilst betraying our NATO allies.

Obama is a terrible president. I don't know how the hell he allegedly has a 50+% approval rating.

The same morons polling Obama at 50+ are probably the same ones that had Hillary up by 10+ points a couple of days ago...

And implanted in their heads by 8 years of Obama's divisive hatefulness.

Hopefully now we can move on from the ridiculous false accusations of "racist" and "misogynist" and whatever other unsubstantiated insults people want to throw around when they are disagreeing.
