Do you think Vietnam, Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan are the same?

Are we (the US) criminals to tell Syria, "stop the slaughter or we'll blow you up"?

...says one who has nothing to do with USA, with RF, seemingly fled from his forefathers land and now complains on the Internet using slur words trying to force other people to do what he wishes for.

Litwin, be a guest of my home. Come and share bread and salt and shιt, have a sane talk, see places you keep pouring dirt on on the internet, see the people who you repeatedly, daily, constantly dare to insult with all your lunatic rhetorics.

Or if you wish for war - 'defence battalions' in Ukraine still taking volunteers, I believe. You will have opportunity to murder as many of my people, as you will manage while you'll last. At least it will be YOUR own fight, and not just people who you arguing to go to war.

People of RF and USA can somehow settle between themselves, who they are, friends or just neighbours - without a third sides involved.

I think that when a third of your population is in exile there are other considerations.

He means the conference in Yalta in 1945, where met Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin, and made agreements over territories of Central and East Europe, and also Northern Africa and Middle East, dividing them in between USA, British Empire and Soviet Union. Basically, majority of compromises and agreements made on that conference was soon ruined, mainly by Stalin who, for example, enforced rise of communistic parties in 'Union sphere of influence'.

From what I gather, presumable 'Yalta 2.0' is supposed to be an act of RF and USA dividing world in spheres of influence, in best traditions of good, old, rusty, dusty, rotten imperialism.

Personally - I find idea of strengthening United Nations and dissoluting NATO much more favorable, since it would bring down risk of large military confrontation and will give UN more influence over politics of governments of various countries, including USA and RF. If I adore my country with a deep passion and love - but that does not mean that I do not think that our government needs some neutral force, capable of restricting it from comitting questionable acts.

We have learned a lot from the invasion of Iraq. Trump is not planning on invading Syria. And his actions both via domestic energy policy and leadership in Syria plus meetings with NATO may result in the establishment of safe zones in Syria where innocent civilians can escape the poisonous gases and barrel bombs and easily return to their homes when the conflict is ended. Russia's economy is based on the price of natural gas. Trump's actions in the US will result in lower natural gas prices thus weakening Russia's economy. Russia cannot bully Trump as he did Obama. Trump does not seek hostilities with Russia but seeks to end the killing in Syria where ~ 500,000 have died.

The UN is a joke. Much better to align with countries who share values to oppose those that don't such as NATO.

The original Yalta agreement gave away the farm to the Soviet Union.

How does the Cretin-in-Chief intend to "end the killing in Syria"?

It's a barbaric, medieval approach. For such positions the differences can be always found or fabricated. UN - is a way of future. As long as we reluctant to give it more control over governments - it will remain a joke, and politicians will continue wrecking the world.

Sorry but no. Germany for example has little power in UN. But pays most and is even labelled as enemy state. UN should be disbanded. It never achieved anything.

How about we cut our budget to UNO? Germany wants to be member of security council since years. If we dont get equal rights i dont see any reason to stay.

All of that is fine as long as noone is telling me there's some secret evidence that only the government knows and we should just trust them.
