no, alawites have no power to fight (they dont have an army anymore) , Latakia is their natural borders , they will get it. sunni will get 60% of country and peace . a weak point is Turkey, but usa can force it to peace too

Why did we go into Iraq? Probably a long debate that's not suitable for this thread. That could take up 100 pages of debate! LOL

    Short answer: Regime change.

    Better question for this thread:

    Why did we destabilize Libya?

Unfortunately, the answer is still the same.

Maybe, but Ghaddafi was our enemy turned friend. IMO, better to support him and keep the region stable.

I'm rather sceptical, Lybia ended as a mess, Iraq ended as a mess, why should things be different in Syria ?

In his meek and wimpy way. He drew a red line against using chemical weapons. Assad kicked him in the face and used them.

    Obama went back to whimpering.

His red line will look much different than The Wimp's did. Or do you think Trump will cower and weep and do nothing like Obama did?

All I have seen up to this point is a tough talking news briefing. North Korea is testing missiles everyday, what is he going to do about that?

President Trump is the president today, life is today. I can't go and dig up Grant and talk about what he would do.

I hope the president takes the advice he gave Obama on Syria and save his "powder" and not get involved militarily. Let the other NATO countries take the lead. He can offer intel and other logistic information.
