WRONG. When it is done to all corporations, they will all raise their prices. Most corporations rely on a fairly small profit margin. It does not take much of a cost increase to wipe out their profits completely.

If what you said was true, then all a corporation would have to do is lower their prices right now to capture the market to increase profit. It does not happen because they would lose money. Most corporations are very savvy on their prices structure. They have studied the market extensively and it is done around maximizing profit. It is a balance between market share and profit margin.

 

Thank you for confirming that I was RIGHT that corporations will NOT increase their prices because of tax increases. Instead they will PAY those taxes out of PROFITS because otherwise they RISK losing market share.

 

Those robots are going to be replacing jobs over the next 2 decades and the corporations that replace their workers will see massive INCREASES in PROFITS. Taxing just a small portion of those increased profits will easily pay for IBR.

I understand that we will lose 1/2 the jobs that we have now over the next few decades. And that Income taxes will no longer provide enough revenue as fewer and fewer people "work". But I don't think the new economy is going to throw the baby out with the bath water. In Yangs plan a starvation funding is given to every adult. But the economy remains the same. People can and will continue to work for wages and the more economic value you provide the more money you can make. A VAT type tax to raise this funding would be required to provide this 12,000 per adult funding.

I think the plan is simple and brilliant. The less you buy the less tax you pay. You are not going to buy a monet or a bentley, Instead of a 250,000 car sold to a rich person Ten 25,000 cars will be produced and sold. Instead of one $10,000 refrigerator, they will make and sell ten $1000 ones. Rich people spend money they just don't spend it on items that create as many jobs as the items that the average person buys.

 

How are you removing the incentive? If you don't want to do it you can still pay someone to do it. How does that change?

 

The trucking industry can make $160 billion in EXCESS PROFITS each and every YEAR by using robots to drive trucks instead of people.

As soon as it is cheaper to use robots sewer workers will be replaced.

 

VAT is a BAD idea because it is a REGRESSIVE form of taxation.

I'm sure someone has covered this, but you need to double check your facts.... UBI is not intended to cover basic living costs. And yes, Finland's experiment was UBI. Which failed.

The PURPOSE of UBI is to prevent or reduce poverty therefore it needs to cover basic living costs.

Given its ultimately integration of tax and benefit systems, I do get amusement over right wing rant over it. Its as if Friedman's negative income tax, ultimately a variant of such integration, never existed!

 

Anything that benefits anyone but themselves and the 1% seems to push their buttons. They have been fed so much disinformation that it is now impossible to separate between fact and fiction. They have been supplied with a fictitious story to believe about every fact. This has supplanted critical thinking skills and reminds me of those inane biblical cartoons that used to be around when I was growing up.

 

If the "Progressives" ever took over the world all of the people who supported them would have, with great clarity, an epiphany. In that moment they would understand the true meaning of the term useful idiot. The charade would be over and these people would find themselves in the same boat as everyone else, screwed!!!. They would also be treated with the utmost contempt by those who were never fooled by the progressive agenda. In this position they would angrily oppose the new regime and be the first to be sent to camps, the first to die. The end game of progressivism is iron fisted terror. It was never about making the world a better place it was always about power and their lust for it knows no bounds. If you don't believe this you haven't been paying attention, history repeats itself, history recycles the same BS to lure the feeble minded into believing that paradise has finally been found.
