The French celebrate the 4th of July with tank parades?

    Who knew?

Ok, you've got one patriotic person. What about the rest of your gang?

So what? Were parades full of gay people always the norm until recently?

Liberals are so patriotic that they criticized painting AF1 with red, white and blue paint. Liberals say they're patriotic, but they won't say to which country.

Not my gang. I’m independent. But you disrespected a 20 veteran and volunteer while you support a bone spur non-military, philandering dick. I’m not impressed with your brand of “patriotism “.

How many tanker trucks do you see on the roads in DC. 3rd time, Interstate roads are built with heavy haulers in mind, city traffic doesn't have such a requirement. I've seen what tanks do to the roads in Ft Hood.

Are there any gas stations in DC? If there are then you'll see tanker trucks in DC.
Look, those tanks aren't going up and down on the street of DC for an extended period, it's a single parade. The roads will be fine.

I get that you personnaly don't want a military parade, unless it's a democrat making it happen, I guess. But having an overloaded vehicule going up a street a single time in the summer won't break anything. And even if it should, you just send the bill to the government for repair.

Well the DC council has already said something about the tanks. The tanks will beat up the roads, I have seen it.

the deplorable one was, and is, the person that first uttered the word during her campaign, then it took on new meaning... anyone that uses it to describe us law abiding, country loving americans, is themselves deplorable & anti-america...

Depends on the track used. They're road tracks and off-road tracks. The road ones have rubber pad on them.
Beside, the damage probability exist only during turns, not if they're going in a straight line, like they would in a parade.

I wonder what's the political affiliation of the DC council...

What I find sad is that the one that was planned last year was cancelled. It was the 100th birthday of the end of WW1 and a military parade to honor those who gave their life in that conflict would have been a nice gesture.

I was a tanker in the army on the abrams. I don’t remember two different tracks, but they are rubber where they meet the road. Turning on concrete isn’t going to do much damage but asphalt on a hot day is a different story. The abrams is wide and the track end connectors will chow up curbs and such and the exhaust of the gas turbine is hot. It will damage other vehicles if they pull up behind one when it’s running. They used to print warnings in German newspapers warning the civilians to not pull up behind an abrams tank in an intersection.
