Some do. Eventually the truth will come out. Just give it some more time. New reporters will come onto the scene. Reporters that weren't caught up in the initial protection of Obama. And these will reveal the truth.

Actually it was the CIA who controlled the flow of information. Until we rope that agency in there will continue to be incidences like this in the future.

 

It was the Obama Adm., that "controlled the flow of information". The CIA refused to sign off on the "official version of events."

I think journalism is near-dead. I believe political correctness, if nothing else is responsible.

It's ok for major news sources to be progressive, in the traditional form of progressivism - haha. In my view, progressive meant what I learned about its rise in the 20's. Progressive used to mean constant pursuit of change, not out of hatred for class or race, but for the sake of advancing the human cause of justice, and, quite frankly and literally in the 20's, the American cause.

Progressive today means politically correct, first and foremost. The media will always prefer a politically correct candidate and president over politically incorrect world views. When a politically correct candidate or president messes up, in some way the media see that as potentially damaging to political correctness.

 

This is a non issue.

 

I highlighted the last part because this is part of the RW hypicorsy. There were protests about the youtube video in Libya, among other places. This is fact and it is incontrovertible.

However, AQ used the protests to coordinate their attack and mask their fighters until they were very close. That fact is incontrovertible.

The point is that both events were happening at the same time. They happened for different reasons. They are linked, but not to the point that the Obama Admin stated earlier.

And as far as the question of the State Department did not adeqately prepare, they did not learn from prievious maskakes, including Lebenon 1983, Africa 1998, New York 9/11/2001, and Pearl Harbor Dec 1941. Our history has repeated itself over and over because we underestimate the enemy.

the enemy is not all Muslims or most Muslims or Muslims only in the ME. The Enemy is AQ and other such organizations and any organization that wants to illegimately overthrow the governemt. this would include Soverign citizens as a recognized terrorsit group to be associated in the same regards as AQ.

Rather than correct the error in judgment, we are faced with a cover-up and persecution of those who were the clarions of what was about to occur on that fateful day in September. Should the leader of this country and the head of the State Dept., be excoriated and held accountable for this debacle? I would say YES. I'm just one voter in millions of Americans. I'm sure that there are others that think the same, while there are others that would rather have this obvious lack of responsibility or value for the people they send into harms way enter the dark memory hole of indifference.

 

For starters, the Bush admin. said there was no prior warning about an intention of OBL to strike in the USA when later revelations of intelligence briefings would prove otherwise.
