Impeachment Is No Longer Enough; Donald Trump Must Face Justice

Impeachment and removal from office are only the first steps; for America to be redeemed, Donald Trump must be prosecuted for treason and — if convicted in a court of law — executed.

And that’s why the impeachment and removal of Donald Trump from the Oval Office are merely the first steps in what must be a long-term policy to redeem the United States in the eyes of the world. They are certainly important steps in restoring the credibility of our government, our standing in the eyes of the world, and our very democracy. But they must not be the only steps, lest we still be left with Mike Pence as the acting president after Trump’s removal. No, to quote our new fuhrer, we must “drain the swamp.”
Draining the swamp means not only ejecting Trump from the presidency, but also bringing himself and everyone assisting in his agenda up on charges of treason. They must be convicted (there is little room to doubt their guilt). And then — upon receiving guilty verdicts — they must all be executed under the law. Anything less than capital punishment — or at least life imprisonment without parole in a maximum security detention facility — would send yet another message to the world that America has lost its moral compass. In order for America’s morality and leadership to be restored, it must rebuke Donald Trump, his entire administration, and his legislative agenda in the strongest manner possible. And nothing would do more than to convict them of the highest offense defined by our Constitution, and then to deliver the ultimate punishment. Donald Trump deserves nothing less. Mitch McConnell, Steve Bannon, and Paul Ryan should also share Donald Trump’s fate, for they have done more than practically anyone to protect him and to throw our country under the proverbial bus. In order to survive, we as a nation must deliver the ultimate punishment under the law to all involved in its current destruction.

I don't think so, all the footage I've seen of Bernie he's been pretty peaceful. I do, however, blame organisations like Antifa and BAMN who openly and shamelessly promote violent, murderous means to their goals.

It was only a matter of time before one of them actually listened to the BAMN leadership and shot some politicians.

 

And no one is advocating limiting anyones freedom of speech.

When your congress woman is shot by a mentally ill guy you might think it's sad, until you realize that her state ranked 49th in mental healthcare under her watch as a congress woman.

As this nation divides even further more of this will come about. The rhetoric spewed on cable is non stop and 24 hours a day.

Push will come to shove as seen yesterday. I do get a kick out of the tone from the Democrats when compared to the Gabby Gifford event, Talk radio and fox caused that situation but when a mental Prog goes after a softball game they whistle past the graveyard.

There is tension between the First Amendment and the recognized tort of defamation. An argument can be made that the First Amendment Trump's all. Some Suprema Court Justices believed this. But the majority favor a compromise:


"[D]efamation suits can threaten and test the vitality of First Amendment rights. Former Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black wrote passionately, also in Rosenblatt v. Baer, that no law meant no law and that, as such, all libel laws violate the First Amendment:

“The only sure way to protect speech and press against these threats is to recognize that libel laws are abridgments of speech and press and therefore are barred in both federal and state courts by the First and Fourteenth Amendments. I repeat what I said in the New York Times case that ‘An unconditional right to say what one pleases about public affairs is what I consider to be the minimum guarantee of the First Amendment.’ “

The majority of the Supreme Court did not go as far as Justice Black would have liked. Instead, the Court staked out a middle ground and ruled that there must be a proper accommodation between protecting reputations and ensuring “breathing space” for First Amendment freedoms. If the press could be punished for every error, a chilling effect would freeze publications on any controversial subject."


Note that even Justice Black the absolutist referred there to "public affairs." I don't know what he would say about a defamation suit alleging that I falsely accused you of a crime or drug addiction or Nazi sympathies or some personal vice.

 

Why wouldn't the guy go after the party that stole the election from his candidate? Maybe because the media only demonizes Trump and makes it sound okay to harm anyone that supports him?

to do with Democrats. Has to do with loonies. As for Trump, he not qualified to lead our country. He has no clue how to govern, and
holds tribal seances so that his cabinet can pay homage to the king. Sickening.

 

With great freedom comes great responsibility.

The media and the democrat left have colluded to take Trump down at any cost. They are hammering anti-Trump and anti-republican propaganda into the public space 24/7, nonstop. They have become even more annoying on our televisions than those relentless pharmaceutical commercials. The likes of Bill Maher, Kathy Griffin, Rosie O'Donnel, Steven Colbert, et al, have taken the media's message and amped up that rhetoric to 11.

There is a point where people snap.

No one is responsible for these shootings other than the left-wing nut-job that pulled the trigger. But there is a LOT of responsibility to spread around for driving him to the point where he thought it was the patriotic thing to do. That blame lays squarely at the feet of the hate filled democrats, and their monstrous propaganda machine who are determined to shut down the President at any cost.

Here's an honest question for them: Trump won. He is the POTUS. What good is done for the country to launch this sustained soft-coup against him? Would we not ALL be better off to support our President instead?
