Strange, you write this ^ and in the post before you wrote "Do the world a real favor and work toward bringing Manufacturing and Industry back"

Do you see a problem there ;)

We are not talking about my house, although it sounds like it could work. I like it. Illegal entry has decreased by 50% already, due to fear,
a beefed up border patrol. Add to it some drones, technology, and create jobs by increasing the border patrol dramatically, and we can keep a lid on it. A wall won't stop the flow, only reduce it.

Physical barriers work. Always have, always will.

No one's going to put up a wall and call it a day, and no one has ever suggested that.

For the effectiveness of physical barriers, you can simply look at the effectiveness of the San Diego walls.

Well they sure should get what their skill set and demand dictates! If all you got is making beds and cleaning toilets or flipping burgers and stocking shelves while millions of eager applicants wait in the wing I would be so unrealistic to think getting into bed with someone promising me more money by paying them a monthly Due, when reality the only one making a lot more money is the organizer :)

You sure you're not one of use dirty capitalist?

Millions of workers also waited in the wings to drive rivets or weld cars, yet they still unionized.

That idea is how we ended up with millions of illegals in our country in the first place.

They were allowed in over 30 years ago. Now many have families here and are members of our society. The time for tossing was 20-30 years ago, not now. Republicans have always had empathy for those less fortunate than us. Trump base supporters, in my view, are not
my kind of Republicans. Separating families is a bad idea. Toss out the law breakers, yes. And don't rough up decent people in the
    process. Just my view.

The wealthiest man on earth, a Mexican national who owns the NYT will never allow it. He only has $79 Billion. The Democratic Party sobs with him that he still isn't raking in enough USA dollars.

Before or after they were hired ;) Is it like they worked at corner market and joined the steel workers and paid union dues in the chance a riveter job came open, no journeymen steel worker was on the waiting list and they just grabbed a hardhat, steel toe's, safety belt and simply reports to a union job/position

If I could have matched the ridiculous of your post I would, but I don't think it's even possible! It's pretty obvious you haven't the slightest clue what your even talking about :)

A wall is not going to stop the things you want stopped. Finding some way to manipulate finances to make it appear that Mexico is paying for the wall isn't going to stop those things either.

    It will and it has.

Walls have worked in San Diego, Israel, and all over Europe to stem and control movement of people.

Mexico will end up paying, one way or another.

Building a wall across our souther border is geographically and politically impossible, not just financially improbable. Besides the fact that Trump has threatened a government shut down over funding the wall, he's not even expecting Mexico to pay for it. Did you not read the transcripts of his phone calls with the Mexican President?

I'm not against securing our borders. I am against wasting money on a wall, and I am confident Mexico is not going to pay for it, short of some manipulation of the books to make it appear so.

    I'll bet on impossible.

We were also told Trump winning was impossible.

    I like my odds.

Brave bet- the go big or go home kind ;)

We weren't told Trump winning was impossible. We were told it was unlikely, and it was.

    Unlikely ≠ impossible

    • Insulting or personally attacking other posters (Rule 2)
<Rule 2> Do you know these people get paid so low that they are eligible for food stamps even while working full-time? <Rule 2/3>

It's not like his supporters care if the government shuts down. The only people that care aren't conservatives, so they don't matter.

<Rule 2/3> I'm in the military. My wife is a teacher. I didn't get paid on time during the last shutdown, and she had her hours reduced. <Rule 2/3>

In other words, you're both sucking off the tax payer teat. <Rule 2/3>

Ladders also work, as do tunnels.

For government schools? Nope. It's just welfare. It's not market facing so it's not a real job. Real professions in a real capitalist society require voluntary transactions.

Besides, government teachers are just as incompetent as the military. How many years have we been at war in Afghanistan? How many years have government teachers not been able to teach kids how to read and do maths? Far too many.

What exactly are "government teachers"? As far as I know there is no such thing and never was.

Any teacher employed by a public school or university is a government teacher.
