There is nothing Mexico can do that will not hurt them ten times worse than it would hurt us.

I'm not saying they can't cause problems for us, but in no way can they hurt us without destroying themselves.

If they can hurt us, hurt our economy, (and they can) then why poke the bear?

If we need to renegotiate, then let's renegotiate. There's no reason to deliberately hurt our own economy over some campaign promise to build a wall that most Americans don't even want.

    No, I'm not.

Raising the minimum wage is another thing that kills jobs.

It doesn't bring people up, it only brings everyone else down in purchasing power.

Minimum wage jobs are entry level jobs that are there for people with few skills to learn something, they're not jobs designed for primary wage earners.

We already have an IRS, and the banks/transmission entities can do it automatically with software. That's not going to "increase government".

Because we're already loosing hundreds of billions taking care of Mexicans instead of Americans.

The borders need to be secured. The drugs need to be curtailed. The human trafficking needs to stop. The slave class of illegal aliens needs to be finished.

Another one who believes what trump says. Everyone should know by now that trump is a big bully and a bigger liar. Mexico won't pay for it. Besides, there won't be a wall.

I don't know, but the US helped pay for Mexico's southern border wall.

    http://www.snopes.com/mexico-75-million-border-wall/

As the report indicated, the State Department (not President Obama) “plan[ned] to spend” approximately $75 million in total over an unspecified period of time in a joint effort between the U.S. and Mexico to manage their borders. Those funds will go towards providing equipment and training, not bricks and mortar.

Bet Trump will not shut down veterans memorial parks like Obama and the Democrats did, nor order law enforcement to physically bar veterans of WW2 from entering.

    https://naturalresources.house.gov/newsroom/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=352177

THATS RIGHT IT HAPPENED!!.. Lest we forget.

Obama blamed Republicans for refusing Obamacare and blamed Republicans for his failure to submit a balanced Federal budget to Congress. 600 Billion dollars additional revenue Republicans conceded in an attempt at "compromise" was not enough for the Spend and Waste Obama and Democrat Socialist Party. So Obama used his executive privilege to issue order to deny veterans access to monuments and memorials.

    https://www.cnsnews.com/mrctv-blog/dan-joseph/

Here are the people who are Trumps base: Today, these people would be assaulted by Antifa and the Radical Left for attempting to protest at a monument.

So you propose to tax anyone buying off the internet and you are happy for banks to increase these extra costs of transactions onto all their customers? Also, if the IRS staff are not at the moment 100% fully utilised then surely some staff should be made redundant, otherwise any staff that are involved in your proposal should be costed and charged to operate your proposal

The problem with Mexico is numbers don't really tell the entire story! As it sits ledger wise fifty percent of Mexico GDP comes from exports to the U.S. with a large trade deficit in their favor, that's that!

On other fronts, drugs are a big part of Mexico dark GDP that can be estimated, but is never put pen to paper and simply ignored! Another plus to their GDP is legal and illegal workers in the U.S. funneling U.S. currency back to family member without going thru exchanges, this is money that that could be taxed from payroll deductions, SS, healthcare, home and auto loans/property tax and other purchases normal productive Americans spend their earned incomes on..

Mexico is hardly good for the U.S. because Mexico is unwilling to give up or control the dark side of how they bleed the U.S. or even compensate for the money that has to be spent to handle their undesirables!

It's always cheaper to secure your house than it is to leave the door open.

More excuses as to why we can't do something that isn't hard to do because it hurts your feelings.

How much stuff are you ordering over the internet shipped in from other countries I wonder.

Free trade or lack of free trade isn't going to do anything about the fact that robots are cheaper than hiring Americans or that our economy is Service-driven.

Like I said, if you'd read the links I provided, which you clearly didn't because you don't want your talking points challenged, you'd learn something.

You don't want to change your mind, so presenting the truth (twice), clearly isn't going to help you.

At some point maybe you'll realize that your inclinations and voting habits are what is creating the 1% you complain so much about.

The Mexicans citizens paid for their Southern border, the US citizens will pay for their Southern border (though that hypothetical wall won't be built)

I'm an economist. You act like your link is making claims I've never heard before. It ignores the effect that automation has had on manufacturing. It ignores that a considerable part of manufacturing jobs have moved to countries we DON'T have free trade with.

My voting habits support unionizing and support increasing taxes on the 1%.
