The issue, (relevant to my post and SH's link) is this "eenie meenie miny moe" foreign policy of "which agreement can we shred today". Peace and Trade agreements are the glue that keeps our world cohesive and the reality is that no one can trust America to stand by anything they say or agree on. Baker's "not an inch eastward" a perfect example. America's backflip diplomacy doesn't affect America nearly as much as all the smaller countries that rely on these agreements, it's causing havoc for many and Americans either can't see or don't care.

In relation to Ukraine and Crimea, the agreement was "not an inch eastward" and America ignored this to Ukraine's detriment, they should have simply told Ukraine no... as was agreed. Ukraine will be much better of to stop listening to war mongering advice from the west, and try to engage diplomatically to resolve their differences with the Russians, and if it's too late then god help them.
