As I hear many other rational legal minds saying. This became a criminal investigation months ago with an active grand jury. Special prosecutors don't do that on a whim they have found actual evidence of crimes to present to that grand jury.

And now respected former Watergate Independent Prosecutor Robert Ray weighs in.

Former Whitewater prosecutor Robert Ray said the investigation by U.S. Attorney John Durham into the origins of the Russia investigation likely will spark indictments of bureau officials as new information continues to emerge.

"It is a criminal investigation with grand-jury authority, and I don't think the attorney general expects this is going to be just left to the side of history without actual prosecutions being brought to hold those responsible accountable," Ray said during the Fox Nation special "Witch Hunt," which first aired on the Fox News Channel Sunday night.

But, he added, "Even if no felony prosecution is ever brought as a result of this, this is a political scandal of the highest order and the American people should be paying attention."

Political scandal of the highest order but no prosecutions? Sounds a bit Twilight Zone-ish. A preponderance of evidence suggests serious crimes were committed such that those who committed them should go to jail for a long, long time. Even though those highest up the chain are protected by layers of deniability, the soldiers down at the bottom who knew it meant falling on their swords for the cause, also get nothing??? What was the purpose of this investigation? The Democrats are bad people, yeah, we know that, they did bad things, we also know that. Well, that's it. What????? America deserves better.

Maybe you'll understand the truth when comey and McCabe are fitted for orange jump suits. What they did to Flynn was illegal immoral and little more than a blatant attempt to cover their own dirty tracks. We are now at a point where the first order of business if every incoming administration will be to fire every one above g10 from the last administration. Thanks to Obama the merit system that has served us in good stead since TR is now essentially dead at the upper levels. So focus on the thread topic instead of trying to derail.

 

Mueller begs to differ. 272 instances of contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russians mentioned in his report should tell you something.
