a person can be responsible for deciding to drive drunk, but not responsible for deciding to have sex while drunk ?
If someone puts you into a car and coerces you to drive; chances are they would be responsible in conspiracy or manslaughter.
Not a legally defined limit.....some women who are too drunk to drive legally. .08 can still seem sober We can legally define what is too drunk for driving, why can't you define legally too drunk for se beyond an arbitrary de$inition
So what then for a girl that false reports it, causing a man to lose his job, family, house his life savings before the truth came out....set a clear number for me. Is a glass of wine the legal cutoffcutoff
You don't need a number. The judge and jury will decide whether or not judgment was impaired and sexual activity coerced.
we are on different sides but thanks for not reporting that african american or he would have been in prison now because your caucasian wife would have lied about rape to save her marriage with you. best for both genders not to get drunk and stay home but that does not happen often...
Sex is always coerced....if that is force....then even women who aren't drunk can claim rape after they said yes willingly.
And then you would have a jury and trial. It's how any rape claim goes. Do you want the government to stop enforcing rape laws? I probably shouldn't ask that question.. Sex is not always coerced.
How about ugly fat girls who prey on drunk men with clouded judgement late at night in bars and lure them into their lairs? Are they scum too? Have you ever heard of "Coyote ugly"? That is when you wake up with a woman so ugly, you chew your arm off to get outta there without waking her up. Should these beasts be punished also?
Only if we can punish all stupidity with death, which would make this post a capital offense!! Seriously though, drunk has different levels. If I could go to jail for having sex with drunk girls, I would have a few dozen rape convictions from my college days. However, there were times when I was at college, where I needed to protect my female friends from legitimate threat of date rape. Times when they couldn't stand up, and guys were trying to take them home or have them stay with them. That is what I mean by different levels of drunk. Passed out drunk is rape, even if the girl doesn't say no. Conscious but incapable of speech, standing, etc is rape. However if a girl is still in control of her physical functions, and does not say no at the time, it is not rape. To paint with a broad brush makes no sense.
Possibly. But my wife went out, chose to drink and performed oral..and she said yes....but you're right, he would have fried for it and all she was trying to do was protect herself from losing everything.
Me and my friends have so many of those sorts of stories, that is embarrassing. I don't know if they were so ugly I would commit acts of self harm to get away, but I certainly took home my fair share of unattractive women when I was really really drunk and open to sex with anyone. However that isn't rape, because I could not have sex while unconscious, or at least I hope not. Nor would I want sex when I could barely walk and talk, I would just want bed or the toilet.
Hey no judgment!! Most guys who have been to a college party and gotten really drunk know what I went through. Me and my friends still mock each other for the uglier girls we had sex with while drunk. It isn't very nice, but we do it anyways.
There was an old country song about how the women always looked better the closer it got to closing time...But seriously, the notion that some drunk teenage boy should be severely punished and deemed a rapist for the rest of his life after having sex with a similarly drunken and willing trampette is idiotic and destructive. The sad point is that several young lives have already been ruined because of this idiocy. If you get into a situation where you make bad judgements because of alcohol or drugs, you get what you get, and both parties whether male or female need to accept the consequences of their actions. Cheers
I free with you....I think you quoted the wrong post though still.... but yes, coercion can happeen there
I am a dude and my girlfriend slipped me an ambien while I was drunk right before sex....I remember bits and pieces and then just waking up the next day.
Well, you follow(ed) it up with... And: And: ... in addition to being factually wrong on the 'precaution' part, places the onus on the woman for being victimized, which... ... means she is being taken advantage of by a victimizer, not that they are somehow naturally deficient or weak, which... ... you seem to agree with. None of the above matters one whit to the rapist you're making excuses for. Wait, are you suggesting that we shouldn't demonize rapists?... ... yep, it sure looks like it. Tell me... ... who taught you that consent must happen at the pub?
