I do know in Netherlands there was a pedophile party, put calling out progressives for being in favor of pedophilia by defending gay marriage is as ridiculous as saying conservatives are looking forward to push forward their own biblical version of sharia law.
I'm 26 and read comics all the time. I'm a fan of comic book art. And some of the stories are fantastic as well! There are better writing in comics than in most TV shows these days.
Which where I was going next. I'm saying its a natural order of the progressive movement. 30 years ago no one thought normalizing homosexuality was normal either yet progressives push for it today harder than almost any other issue stating "rights" If marriage is a "Right" as these progressives have fought so hard to claim, its only a matter of time for the same movement to claim that new "right" would be extended to pedos. You can stamp your feet all you like. People against gay marriage thought the same thing decades ago.

I didn't think the groom was a superhero. Meh. I stopped reading the Xmen. Maybe he has a new boyfriend or something. Northstar is one of those X-men heroes that is pretty nondescript, not a Wolverine or Cyclops.
There's a relatively simple bright-line distinction that can be drawn, which is the point of my statement. The bright line distinction that can and should be drawn between allowable acts and disallowed ones is simple consent. Any act in which the directly, tangibly affected people all consent should be legal. Any act which directly, tangibly, harms someone who has not given consent should be illegal. You either agree, or you oppose freedom. Pretty simple.
...who's consent?...if I remember your explanation on the guy in Minnesota, or where ever it was, the guy got nothing because the kid was 17 and age of consent in that state was 16...I was under the impression that the "consent" in question was that of the parents so if the kid was seeing/dating/whatever someone that was a legal adult the parents could do something about it...so in the case of the kid giving oral sex to the 56 year old guy, I guess his parents gave their consent to the act and that's what allowed the guy to walk away with no charges?... Been out the closet near or over 20 years. (too tired to do the math) Never have been, never will be attracted sexually to children. I've been active off and on in several pretty prominent (for this neck of the woods) gay political groups. I have never, in my life, met an actual celibate or practicing homosexual who supports NAMBLA. I think of NAMBLA pretty much along the lines of how I think of oh....the KKK or the constant and now proven decades long effort of the Catholic hierarchy to cover up the continual abuse by priests. (In short, they all make me wanna then take a to their area.) Countless studies have proven the vast majority of child molesters are either men living a straight life (Sandusky, anyone?), or women, living a straight life. But by golly, iffen people just keep on trying to link NAMBLA with gays and lesbians, over and over and over and over and over....well facts be (*)(*)(*)(*)ed I guess. It's a sad, tired, disproven and pathetic attempt to create links that simply aren't there.
No. When referring to consent in terms of a sex act, we are referring only to the individual who engages in the act. Parents cannot consent or withhold consent for their children to engage in sex acts under any circumstances. In Minnesota, the age of consent is 16. That means a 16 year old person in Minnesota can have sex with anyone else who is 16 or greater, period.
Just to be noted: I'm not a "hit and run" poster. I'm gonna be offline for several hours; I rarely post to a thread and then go offline---so anyone who has it in their 'ammo' belt that I posted and ran....well---have fun with it. As you will see from the responses here, tea party hate Gay people, really really hate them, along with Asians and African Americans and Muslims and Jews and Latinos and, well, the list does go on for a while
