http://news.yahoo.com/marvels-x-men-support-gay-marriage-abcs-view-154601334.html?_esi=1 in what appears to be pandering to what is perceived as a huge albeit in reality a tiny market (under 2% engage in gay sex), we now have Marvell with a gay X-man Honestly, why is it important for comics to point out who sleeps with whom? I wonder what his super power is?????????????? excerpt As expected, Northstar, the canadian speedster mutant and member of Marvel's X-Men (specifically the Astonishing X-Men line-up), is getting married... to a man. That was Marvel's "major announcement" the publisher teased for months and announced on ABC's daytime talk show The View Tuesday morning. The talk show, which features women discussing the hot topics in politics and other issues, premiered the details on June's Astonishing X-Men #51 from writer Marjorie Liu and artist Mike Perkins. The creative team debuts on the title with this week's Astonishing X-Men #50.
Now I am no comic book aficionado, as I like to think I am adult, but isn't this just one character and not the X-men as a whole? Furthermore, I am pretty sure this is a fictional character and not real.
Pedophilia is still a distant goal on the progressive frontier. They'll get there, but they will have to normalize their current crop of social issues first.
ummm, wouldn't it be at least 2 men? And, if they aren't monogamous then it's even more so who knows the head count for certain
I used to read comics a while ago; Northstar has been gay for a very long time now. I think his co -creator John Byrne intended for him to be gay way back in the 80's but was unable to state it due to various circumstances imposed upon him so he had to settle for subtle clues he would leave about.
Rump rangers deserve a super hero too. It just more fake civil rights and moral bankrupt leftist loserism pretending that being homosexual is normal. Thpppppt, the entire notion is rediculous and asinign.
news article released today they appeared on "the view" yesterday so if I'm not mistaken, 24 hours is pretty darn current Oh, and most of us aren't up to speed in who is and who isn't gay so we react when the news releases the information thanks for your comments albeit useless
No problem, always happy to oblige. I still don't understand how this is current considering he was gay for decades and got engaged and married in the comics before yesterday. I posted the screenshot link of this on the Green Lantern is gay thread. The dude is way gay. Maybe Marvel is trying to hype it because no one buys Xmen as much now that the Avengers is the top comic.
You're a little later to the hate wagon. Northstar has been gay since the eighties. It's no secret, he was the first openly gay comic book superhero. <<< MODERATOR EDIT: OFF TOPIC >>>
