You Democrats since 1933 have had vast chances to kill off the NRA. So why have you never killed them off? FDR alone had 4 terms to eliminate the NRA. FDR did like them. Johnson would have looked stupid killing them off given his penchant for major wars.

 

If there was a mass shooting, I'd hope the shooter was using one of those, because they malfunction so often.

Of course it's constitutional. It's done in many states, but without it being nationwide it's a losing battle.

 

Nothing in the Constitution that says you can't limit the size of the magazine. Can't help? Maybe not but it did help with the Arizona Congresswoman who got shot along with quite a few others. The shooter had a normal magazine and when he went to eject the old one and put in a new one, he dropped it in all the excitement. That gave a man a chance to tackle him before he could grab it off the ground and load it.

 

There were cops with guns on the corner.

They are no more high powered than an average hunting rifle. Yes, our forefathers wanted us to have weapons not only to protect our family and put food on the table. But to also be able to protect us from a government who decides to turn America into something it wasn't intended to be. It was as much to protect us against the government as it was to protect us from the bad guy.

Following the Vegas shooting, the far right began a campaign to frame an innocent man for the shooting, creating false news stories all over the internet and far right "news" media claiming that the police has named him their prime suspect. The issue was that it wasn't true at all. The reason they tried to frame him was because he was a local progressive activist from Vegas.

The shooter turned out to be a far right Trumpist nutjob. What do you know.

10 rounds are not standard in most rifles. Haven't been for more than 50 years. 20s were standard on the M14, 30s are standard on all AK and AR variants.

1) you have an easier constitutional argument from the state level but 2) it doesn't satisfy constitutional principles after incorporation for either state or federal.

Which demonstrates his ineptitude (and considering the guy, that's unsurprising) not that a competent shooter (ie one who has practiced sufficiently) is going to have a problem. The beefier the mag, the more likely it is to jam.

 

You assume the Whiskey Rebellion was of the sort which they would've approved of. Seeing as how those farmers were represented, and the constitution wasn't being violated, I fail to see how the WR could've been one they approved of.
