Up to $50k some months for being a board member. He probably only got it because of his last name, with the company wanting to project an image. There is, however, nothing illegal about that. Nor is there any evidence that he was ever under criminal investigation himself or that the company he sat on the board of was under investigation at the time that Biden (along with the rest of the Western world) was calling for reform in the general prosecutor's office in Ukraine.

Yes, well ... it's still kinda-sorta fishy that the son of a US VP should be in the Ukraine pulling down that sort of money. It is patently exorbitant!

The country is dirt-poor - except for a those who know how to manipulate and the rest of the article goes into some detail about that particular facet ...

It is illegal to use your office to act to benefit your family, AKA pay to play and influence peddling, both here and in China.

Sorry dad, no deal. I know being the son of the Vice President could open some doors for me but I don't really want a new car that bad. I'll just say no and keep my paper route.:wall:

I'm not sure I get the sense of that statement.

No American is going to be sitting on the Board of a major chinese company in either the near or distant future. Burisma, the Ukraini company in question, is one of the largest in the Ukraine.

Ok, OK - not everybody is doing "it". But when your Dad then decides to campaign for the highest Federal office in the nation, things become very different ...

Shokin is a Soviet era trained prosecutor who failed to investigate corruption and failed to indict those who engaged in corruption. He had to go. Ambassodor Yovanovitch was removed by Trump at Guiliani's insistence because the two Scum Turd associates of Giuliani ( Parnas and Fruman ) and corrupt actors in Ukraine wanted Yovanovitch out because she was very anti corruption. So they were convinced that she was getting in the way of their criminal activity.

Yes, Burisma was under investigation and you can find all the sworn affidavits and other evidence in John Soloman's reporting. FYI, he was paid upwards of $88K/month.....now keep in mind a school teacher in Ukraine makes about $5,000/year.

If Hunter Biden was so clean, then he wouldn't be laundering money from Ukraine to Cyprus to Latvia to the U.S.

Young Hunter Biden is no longer on the Burisma board as of last April 2019.

Little Biden does not live in Ukraine so your comparison to a teacher's salary in Ukraine to a corporate board member is nonsensical.

-A drug-addict son of an extremely powerful politician supervising a 3rd world country,
-not able to speak one word in a foreign language
-and having absolutely zero experience in energy sector
-collects exorbitant amounts of money from an oligarch owning an energy company
-while his powerful father politician resorts to blackmail and arm-twisting
-to squash the investigation of that company and the oligarch

Please give me some time to completely disable my mental faculties and common sense (which will turn me into a liberal) before I can start believing that it's perfectly legal and ethical.

A corporate board member in Ukraine doesn't make $88K/month either....neither do most of the board members in the U.S. Little Biden never was in Ukraine....never had any experience with oil and gas....was paid $3M that he laundered....got paid from a crook whole stole a billion out of Privat Bank......no, nothing to see here.

I get it....no matter what a lefty does, it's okay because the law doesn't apply to Democrats.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-27403003

That's $600,000 a year. That's not exactly a king's ransom. Do you have anything other than what Hunter was making? ANYTHING? Because "spoiled connected kid makes bank" is right up there with "water is wet".

And if this bothers you, what on Earth must you think of the guy who founded Trump University and then paid his defrauded "students" $25 million after being sued by them???

April 2014 Vice President Joe Biden leads a U.S. delegation to Kiev tasked with rooting out corruption and advocating for Ukraine to diminish its reliance on Russian oil.

What a coincidence..... nothing to see here though, 2 weeks after Biden was tasked with supervising Ukraine, Hunter was hired for his enormous experience in energy sector and amazing knowledge of Ukraine and Ukrainian language.

Yep. I'm not even sure he'd ever been to Ukraine. All this went down 2 months after Maiden. Not exactly a tourist hotspot 2 months after a violent coup.

Never been to Ukraine. Never had Oil and Gas experience. Doesn't speak the language. Oh yeah, picks up a $3 million dollar paycheck..

I've been to Ukraine half a dozen times. I have Oil and Gas experience. I speak a little Russian. Hell, I expect some corrupt oligarch who stole a billion dollars and collapsed a bank will be hiring me for a $15 million dollar Board job any day now. If only I was a cocaine addict....

His Dad was the Vice-President and leveraged US Aid money to get the prosecutor looking into the company that hired his son for $50,000 a month fired. If not, what special skill did Hunter possess that was worth that kind of money?

He has a Bachelor's degree in History, just what every natural gas company needs for $50,000 a month.
