    It's all about Trump.
Especially when their jobs are dependent on pushing a particular narrative.

Everyone does. It doesn't make everyone's authority equal on all subjects.

How can you fire a scientist with tenure?

I don't follow media entertainers, but the GOP's base has clearly shifted to the less-educated states.

    FOX BUSINESS
    Least educated states in 2022

    41. Tennessee

    42. New Mexico

    43. Nevada

    44. Oklahoma

    45. Kentucky

    46. Alabama

    47. Arkansas

    48. Louisiana

    49. Mississippi

    50. West Virginia

Not surprisingly, they support dumb people:

Charles Kupperman, then serving as deputy national security adviser, accused his former boss of being incapable of understanding global politics and the importance of Ukraine. For him, Kupperman said, it was all personal.

"If one were to ask him to define 'balance of power,' he wouldn't know what that concept was," Kupperman said. "He'd have no idea about the history of Ukraine and why it's in the front pages today. He wouldn't know that Stalin starved that country. Those are the contextual points one has to take into account in the making of foreign policy. But he wasn't capable of it, because he had no understanding of history: how these countries and their leadership evolved, what makes these countries tick."

You realize that New Mexico is a pretty blue state, right? It does have a large Red area but that is also the least populated area that also has the best schools. Rural areas are probably always going to the the least educated. Not too much call for PhD farmers. After California votes for people like Maxine Waters over and over and Georgia with Hank Johnson, I'm not sure who has room to talk about being smart. Of course the Right didn't elect the current idiot in chief that doesn't even know where he is half the time. But at least you have Fauci to tell us how to follow the science and then put on 3 masks.

Of course, but there is no empirical data to assess informal education. There is a correspondence between attaining a formal education and quality of life - wealth, longevity, political preference, etc..

    Pew Survey, 2020:
Voters who identify with the Democratic Party or lean toward it are much more likely than their Republican counterparts to have a college degree (41% vs. 30%). In 1996, the reverse was true: 27% of GOP voters had a college degree, compared with 22% of Democratic voters.

Yes, the Republican orientation of less-educated states is by no means inclusive, merely the dominant trend:

That tells me that the education system is doing a good job of teaching kids that socialism is good. I don't really think that's a good thing.

If you need to have contempt for higher education, that is what you will do.

Medical science, climatology, and other academic disciplines are frequently attacked by ideologues when the empirical findings of the former conflict with the dogma of the latter.

That is true. It is also true that many academic ideologues don't understand how the real world works. I have nothing against science nor higher education. I have a masters in physics myself. I've also worked with plenty of PhDs that are very very book smart and complete idiots in real life experiences. The left is just as bad as the right when it comes to ignoring science. The mask mandates are a prime example. Just like everything else in the world, there is a balance that is needed. I don't put down the intelligence of anyone based on their education. I've worked with too many people way smarter than me with way less education and also worked with people with way more education and way less smarts.

If you go to a forum for professional scientists and ask them, that's not what they'll tell you.

Because the opinion of 1000 scientists counts more than the opinion of 1. Also, you can talk to specialists in various fields, along with people better qualified than you in general.

Again questions are NOT suggestion. Any tells you other wise is either a liar or an idiot.

    I repeat:

    Leading questions suggest answers..

You are simply misinformed on the nature of the subject of questions, there is more than one type of question. There are the:

    • Closed questions (aka the 'Polar' question) ...
    • Open questions. ...
    • Probing questions. ...
    • Leading questions. ...
    • Loaded questions. ...
    • Funnel questions. ...
    • Recall and process questions. ...
    • Rhetorical questions.
    To name a few.

    Leading questions suggest answers.

And, once again, what Trump 'suggested' was MORONIC.

    Deal with it.

A bird had the right idea during Biden's speech. The bird crapped on Biden.

Prejudices exist regarding both better- and less-educated people.

Whatever one might see as the benefit or detriment of higher education, surveys confirm that the better-educated have been increasingly voting Democratic and the less-educated voting Republican.

Thomas Jefferson insisted that the cornerstone of our democracy rests on the foundation of an educated electorate.

With predominately liberal colleges and universities, why would that surprise anyone? As people age, they tend towards conservative. Older and wiser.

A study was performed in 2012. That study showed that republicans were better informed on current events than democrats.

"Educated" doesn't necessarily mean that the person has a degree. They may have simply studied the subject. I'm sure that the study also confirmed that younger people vote Democrat in higher numbers. Does that mean that young people are wiser or that they are simply more stary-eyed and ready to change the world. Then they start paying taxes and get a 2nd education.

You can impose whatever notions suit your fancy on a better-educated, younger electorate. Succeeding generations have always driven progress in America.

    I note the empirical reality:

If you regard the preference in 1996 among the college-educated for the Republican Party as indicative of young people being more starry-eyed, that is your prerogative.

    Personally, I concur with Jefferson.

It was not a leading question. The word injection does not even appear in the question though it played prominent in the alphabet soup medias coverage in the following days.

That's because the DNC get their talking points from Saturday Night Live.
