So do I however he wasn't talking about a degree in some esoteric nonsense. He was talking about being able to read and write.
Well actually mediamatters not that it matters a lot. Ones an old comedy show that lost its sense of humor about two decades back while the other is operated by a humorless political hatchet man who switched allegiances 20 years ago, because he found out lying about Republicans garnered less opprobrium and more party invites than telling the truth about Democrats.

Where did Jefferson ever say his idea of being educated was being able to read and write? He recommended adoption of a broad public educational system far beyond the rudiments of literacy.

Regardless of most better-educated states being more Democratic and most less-educated states being more Republican, do you think that it is the goal of any state to be less educated? Education benefits the individual, his community, and his society in numerous, diverse respects. Relative prosperity is one such index.

Where did he ever say more? Outside of the stem area universities are little more than indoctrination centers for woke leftist would be stalinists. They seldom actually educate anyone.

Lets' take a look at the actual quote of what Trump said> The question in question is highlighted in red.

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs? -- so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."

That is a leading question, SUGGESTING the idea if injecting disinfectants INSIDE, ergo, into the body, which was posed to the health officials standing nearby.

And I'm not even mentioning the rather fourth grade level articulatory ability, far below the standards one would expect of Presidents.

    End of argument.

Jefferson's proposed a three-year curriculum included Grecian, Roman, English and American history as well as reading, writing and arithmetic. His six-year curriculum included Greek, Latin, and English grammar, advanced arithmetic, geometry, navigation, and geography.

Some have a jaundiced view of higher education, but it is generally recognized as benefitting the individual, his family, his community, and the nation.
